4 replies and not a sin(gle) answer. I might actually ask /adv/>>25160395Everyone knows. You've had 5 years to find out.>>25160408I've done that already. Hasn't been fun in quite some time. Always tried to look for jobs except for maybe the last 2-3 years but no one's hiring apparently. Nothing else will work which is why I'm asking>>25160500Not what I asked, sorry

>>25160607you got me blogologuing >>25160612For pay, yes, then hire me
>>25160592>Not what I asked, sorryThen the answer is neither financially everyone is fucked thanks to capitalism. If you have some immaterial reasons like "enjoyment" or "curiosity" or "just because" college or trade school might be good for that.
>>25160384CCNA or trade school imhoCCNA is cooler because you can become le hacker man with it eventuallyelectricians and plumbers and hvac will always be needed but its really not that interesting intellectuallybut eventually it does pay well it seems?im in the tech world myself

Neither. Get good at doing what you like doing. Do your own information gathering, using only what you approve of, what was gained the right way. Reject licences and such and do things before they have been spoiled by schools. Often it's not hard until you've been told it is.

>>25161207At the very least getting educated will not make you weaker or a worse person. Whether or not there is financial benefit is basically gambling.
>>25161637Yes it will.
>>25161674How?
>>25160384Trades because everything else will be done by AI in at least a decade. You can also move up to an engineering position with enough experience. The only downside is bodily health and competition with immigrants but that applies to white collar now too, just don't overexert yourself.
>>25161817>You can also move up to an engineering position with enough experienceNot really. There are some states where you can become a licensed engineer after about 16 years or so if you got plenty of relevant experience (for example, if you start off as a draftsperson under a civil or mechanical engineer and eventually get to engineer-in-all-but-name roles), with a small plus if you get a master's degree or PhD in something closely related to engineering that's not exactly engineering (for example, environmental studies, materials science, or condensed matter physics). However, it's much easier just to go into a trade and then go back a few years later to college to get an engineering degree (for example: start off in construction, and then go into civil engineering, or start off as an electrician and then go into mechanical or electrical engineering*). It's a bit of a roundabout way, but at least that way, once you get the engineering degree, you only have to wait another 4 years to get licensed, instead of having to wait almost 16 years for that.*Despite its name, electrical engineering is very abstract, and focuses more on how to make electronic stuff, such as computers, and how to define abstract systems, such as a computer network or robotic control systems, than on actual power systems. A hands-on tradesperson like an electrician will actually find mechanical engineering much more intuitive than electrical engineering.

College. If you go corporate after graduating college your peers are all college-educated, generally intelligent, and are more put-together. If you go into the trades your peers are all college dropouts, generally stupid, and often alcoholics/drug addicts.
