Yep, but languages also change because of outside influence. Hindi changed after Persian influence, making it lose a lot of its Sanskrit words. And now it's changing again because of globalization, where people are just replacing half their sentence with English.
English is also changing because of globalization. AAVE is mixing with normal American English, and English is borrowing words like wallahi for the lolz.
