one christmas when i was a kid our christmas tree was covered in glass ornaments that my cat would knock over a lot so there was regularly glass shards around the tree. i stepped on one of the glass shards and never got it out of my foot and its still there to this day and hurts a bit if i put pressure on my foot on an angle
