south german (and austrian) food like a good meatloaf with Spätzle or Knödel & Rotkraut, Maultaschen in broth or scrambled with eggs, Kassler (central German) with Schupfnudeln and Sauerkraut, a good Schnitzel, Zwiebelfleischauflauf, Dampfnudeln etc. etc. is peak.
