>Do everything in your power to live as long as possible, draining your bank account by living in a home
vs
>Offing yourself on yiur own terms and leaving your kids with everything

Can anyone make an argument why choosing to prolong your live supplemented by prescriptions and elderly assistance isn't the cowardly and selfish way out?
>>
Inheritance means nothing when the world is on fire

No, because you're an ESL queerboy.

I'm typing while wearing gloves, Anon. Please be considerate.

>who ever has had a loving family that cherishs them and would miss them
I think I see your problem anon

>Can anyone make an argument why choosing to prolong your live supplemented by prescriptions and elderly assistance isn't the cowardly and selfish way out

it absolutely is. I mean at some point any honorable man would off himself because it's clear you will only have a few month / years ahead of you and they won't be pleasant at all, with all sort of health issues, nothing to look forward, just sitting on your chair and watching tv, provided you can, my 98 year old auntie couldn't watch it more than 1 hour a day because here eyes or whatever.
Then when you die it can take a few days or few weeks, which are painful.
A clean headshot is definitively the rationale choice past 90, this being said it has to be a self made choice obviously and not imposed by any rat kids for muh inheritance

My father is leaving me a vast estate, which he decidated his life to preserving and maintaining as his father before him did. You come from a pile of worthless thrash and it shows in the respect you have for people who have up heir youth to change your diaper.
>>
>>62261989
I wasn't born from money, so perhaps my view on this is very different from you. I'm not bitter at all you are being left with something by your parents, but your situation is a clear outlier from the vast majority of those who weren't born with a vast estate destined to your name before exiting the womb, so I don't really understand why you are taking this question/thread so personally if it doesn't apply to you.

It's a pretty simple scenario to understand; is there more moral weight to offing yourself on your own terms to maximize what your offspring are going to get than it is to drain your account to artificially keep yourself alive clearly past your expiration date?
>>
>>62262008
There is definitely a utilitarian weight. But the idea that we should pressure the elderly into suicide is a decidedly Canadian one, don't you think?
>>
>>62261947
>Leaving kids with everything
Sure if you are a retard. Leaving a younger person with more money in theory sounds nice but if that younger person isn't taught or shown what to do with it then the early sacrifice is worthless, not to mention that it's already selfish to begin with since they'd rather have a family member that's alive. The best way to teach them is to actually have done something with your investments and assets and to visibly see progress, and for that time needs to pass which trends towards living as long as possible. There are other milestones in life besides money. I want my parents to become grandparents, I want them to see me get married, I want them to enjoy the retirement they worked so hard to get to.
>>

>leaving your kids with everything
What have the greedy little shits done to deserve such beneficence?
>>
>>62262008
>is there more moral weight to offing yourself
No, and the greediness of the kids does not factor into this at all. They can make their own money, maybe then they'll understand the value and purpose of it.
>>
>>62262333
>>62262347
Nice trip. Also, why are you assuming the kids are greedy? Nothing about their moral compass has even been mentioned yet.
>>
>>62262880
>the kids are just demanding that their parents kill themselves so they can get their inheritance sooner out of the purest of motives
Are all gen-z this retarded or is it your special talent?
>>
My uncle got a nice big inheritance from my grandfather who was a farmer all his life and saved every penny, my uncle lost it all in a week in a casino
>>
>>62264617
You’re uncle sounds based
>>
>>62264617
Yea but imagine how much your uncle could have had if he won, could have been bloodline changing money. He sacrificed his happiness for a chance at every generation after him being set for life. That's a real man.
>>
>>62262275
>since they'd rather have a family member that's alive.
this is a lie. watching someone you love deteriorate and waste away for years while not remembering who you even are is not something that anyone with a brain wants
>>
>>62264703
>waste away for years while not remembering who you even are
Overreaction. Only 10% of americans above the age of 70 get dementia.
>>
>>62261947
>Inherentence
>>
>>62261947
At that point I'm not sure there are even advanced forms of thought like what is brave or cowardly. It's just about not giving up on life to many.
Their kids should already be self-sufficient enough to not need an inheritance. In fact, they should be just as capable as their parents of creating an inheritance.
It is nice to leave them something if you can especially if they were helping with your medical matters, no doubt about that. Also both parents and children can make wise investment decisions, so there's really a 3rd option in all this.
>>
>>62262175
As a resident of Canada I disagree. Rather, that is a decidedly evil idea and evil loves to fly the flag of something and drag its reputation down.
>>
>>62265284
He's one of the smart ones. Most of Gen Z can't read at all.
