Can someone smarter than me defud this. It was regarding Chainlink’s relationship with Eth, idk, calling someone retarded or saying ari will hack them feel like deflections.
gemini’s take
>>62272262There's nothing to defud because that's correct. If ETH is gone LINK is gone.

Ethereum's "death" would be an apocalyptic event, you'd have a lot more to worry about than LINK finding a new home chain. But yes, in this unlikely scenario there would be a snapshot of Ethereum's state at X block and a reissuance of LINK on the new home chain. This would also involve snapshots of balances on remote chains so the redeployment would safely account for all bridged tokens. It may sound complex but this would not be very difficult.
>>62272294bro if ETH is then BTC is gone alsoIt literally relies on stables
>>62272393>>62272397finally. thanks. just new to this stuff
>>62272393of course that's assuming they would care enough to revive the dead chain form the snapshot so people could get their link off of it or do a custom solution. requires a lot of trust in them, they haven't been the fastest to implement features, e.g. staking is still not done and it's been 9 years. as soon as something is non-trivial, they tend to push it into the futures
>>62272262>Coca-Cola just creates a new bottling plant in target countries and copy pastes their formula over. you can call that country agnostic. sure. they will sell Coca-Cola by letting people buy their product then copy paste their factory in the next hot country. It's not rocket science, Coca-Cola is just the same soda as all the other shit-sodas, plus some quality standards it's like asking "they bottle their drink in glass, what happens if you break the glass?" and the answer is "you have a sticky mess, duh"
