My wife and I just paid almost $200 for a little imprint of my baby's hand and foot. That was the small package. Some of these things are multiple children and much bigger, like platter sized. I can imagine those are even more expensive. If you need an easy business look no further. This place was only open from 8AM to noon because they made so much money. Booked solid we had to wait for our turn once we got there.A kiln is a few thousand dollars. Buy a tiny physical location and some clay and you have a business. 25 pounds of clay is roughly $50-$75. You can turn a few bucks worth of clay and maybe 5 minutes of actual labor (press kids hand/foot into clay and throw it in the kiln) into $200+ a piece. Throw in 10 more minutes of painting it a pretty color or carving a last name into it and you can charge $300. You don't even have to kiln it right away we need to wait a month to get the damn thing. You could realistically just charge people the full price, get their impressions in the clay, then pay for a kiln. You do one good week of business and you're already profiting. My town already has one so it's not feasible but if you're in a city or suburb with a decent young population you'll make a fortune.
