Anybody else feel like the economy is fake?Everywhere online its "nobody can afford anything" "everyones broke" "layoffs" etc. Then I leave my house....Costco parking lot looks like Black Friday at 2pm on a Tuesday. Went to a steakhouse last week and the wait was over an hour. Airport was packed. New trucks everywhere.Maybe Im just getting old but where are all these broke people? Serious question. Not even trying to argue. I know inflation is real because my grocery bill sure as hell knows it. But every time I go outside people are spending money like its 2019.Either everybodys secretly rich or everybodys financing their entire life and Im too stupid to understand whats going on.
20% of people are doing good and everyone else is maxing out their credit cards.
Sometimes I wonder if everyone's secretly rich. I know a lot of hustle people with several jobs who are acquiring assets, seems to be the only way to get ahead. Having six figure portfolios means jack shit these days.
>Maybe Im just getting old but where are all these broke people?Obviously not eating steaks in the steakhpouse you fucking moron.>Then I leave my house....Costco parking lot looks like Black Friday at 2pm on a Tuesday. So goyim siege the cheapest slopshop like their life depends on it. Anything else?>Maybe Im just getting old but where are all these broke people? Serious question. Not even trying to argue. I know inflation is real because my grocery bill sure as hell knows it. But every time I go outside people are spending money like its 2019.They spend even more and afford less. Like what do you expect them do do faggot just lay down and rot not eating anything?Sometimes it feels like this board is 90% retards and pajeets.
But I bet most of them are couples/families, dual income is far more powerful than people realise. If you don't have a partner that is a frivolous fucktard then you are ok, bills don't just double compared to being single.
most of people around me, even the ones with nice jobs at corps like VISA or Microsoft are all talking about layoffs and a lot of pressure being put on them from middle managersMe i got laid off from Oracle two months ago after 2-3 years of constant PIP and threats of layoffs
We're living through class entrenchment. The plutocracy reproducing itself through financialization
the internet is not real lifereal answer, k shaped economy/retards drowning in debt
when I go to the store it's all women or elderly boomers. Women spend money they don't have and boomers are spending because they're going to die before the bills comes due.The people online talking about being broke are wagies like me who get paid what "would be a good wage..... in 2006" because college degrees are apparently worthless now (but businesses are still desperate to hire people with college degrees despite hating and belitting them for some reason?).
>>62288450>Sometimes it feels like this board is 90% retards and pajeets./biz/ is full of larpers who claim to be in early on everything but if you look at the post histories in the archive for every 100x you'll see the posting about it only began months after it began to really move, indicating /biz/tards were actually probably late.Entire board is full of retard larpers.
>>62288357Something just feels off and I know what you mean.>noooo McDonalds is too expensive we will not go there anymoreI end up going on my rare trip there and the drive thru is packed. Good odds these are the same people who can't save money because they spend it the second they can or behave in a manner of being wealthier than they are because of a credit card. I go to the grocery store or gas station? Packed as usual. It's the same thing with many gamers online seemingly acting staunch against dlc and such and then seemingly many cough up $150 for pre-release dlc via game purchase, day 1 dlc, and season pass dlc. I now simply assume the masses will in-debt themselves no matter what. It's as if they only see two things,1. the present as in right now, not 1 month from now, not 1 week from now, not tomorrow, not 8 hours from now, literally right now2. the far flung future of their 401k/Social SecurityI see why the elites treat the masses as cattle. I simply desire to get rich and move somewhere safe and comfy. I no longer want to live amongst the masses that host noisy parties to 4am, who are noisy even during work hours in a suburban area, who act malicious/selfish for their own gain while acting as if they're the most moral person on the planet. Nah no thank you, I'm sick of dealing in the real world and want to get wealthy so I move somewhere away from the masses and no longer have to worry about waging.
