I make about $3.3k per week after tax.Is it retarded to spend $800 per week on rent?
>>62292371Thats close to 300k gross you can do whatever you want.
>>62292371i take home $8.2k a month and spend $1.9k a month on rent. ideally we would be below 20%, but it's fine for now. i'll get my revenge on shekelstein when i buy a house.
>>62292375Yes I can afford it.My question is whether it's retarded to.
>>62292380No but obviously get cheaper if you can and eventually you'll want to buy a house in cash
The reason I want to pay that much is for a nice location which is also like 10 minutes walk to my work.I could live further away for cheaper.
>>62292387>working on-site???
>>62292387No, having this comfort is invaluable. At most I'd move 20mins away on foot or public transport.
>>62292392It's hybrid but I prefer to be in the office.
>>62292398reading that gave me a brain aneurysm.
>>62292397I tend to agree.I also have a decent portfolio and it's like what is the point of having this money if you don't spend it to improve your life.It just takes some justification when you are a frugal person.
>>62292387Travel time adds up desu, not just in cost and time, but also in how frustrating work does or dosnt feel. And being in a non-shit location is invaluable frankly>>62292399If I lived close to work I'd go to the office every day too. Its nice having work and not-work physically compartmentalized I find. Also, at least at my company, no one is in the office on days where its optional, so its like being in your own private big office
>>62292407>LIKE being in your own private big officeso they still have you in an open office nigger cattle pasture? i'm fully remote, but i'm told it's like that my company's HQ. since COVID, only executive directors and above are given an office.
