How are we simultaneously in a 1920s recession while at the same time having plenty of cash to buy useless trash every month? I'm not trying to make a post about millennials spending all their money on avocado toast but this genuinely feels like that meme but pushed to the extreme.
Because it is a meme, quite frankly. I'm not even out of my twenties and have managed to buy my own home, plus have a paid off car, credit cards working for me with a credit score of 740, and a stable job that's setting me up with retirement funds at 42k a year.The vast majority of people in the United Stated in particular are just lemmings who deserve to be placed into serfdom to people with self control and discipline.
