Dude I'm using a computer I built in 2015 and am running most modern games at 4K with a decent framerate. The ones worth playing, anyway. There aren't a lot of them. You don't need a PC where everything is current gen top of the line components. Most of the equipment can be old enough that it's fairly cheap, like the CPU, motherboard, RAM, power supply, etc. The only thing that's really important is the GPU and even then you can get by fairly well with a high end card from 1 or 2 generations ago.
It's like 3k for a sick pc. That's not a lot of money
