I see these articles about "newest Instagram/TikTok trend" and am thinking that I am losing out on the Zeitgeist. To know the market, I have to be in it more.
But when I downloaded the apps it just gives me some boring teenagers doing boring dance moves to some music. These apps are just too boring to get into. Do I have to get over some initial hump?

Instagram is for women, and aging women (30+) on top of that

Trends are visible on TikTok or sometimes YouTube (for consumer and mainstream sentiment) and Twitter (for nerdy technical matters and the general meme zeitgeist)
