Is investing in index funds basically just being exit liquidity for boomers and scammers like Elon?
besides anything involved in elon, what other sp500 companies either don't pay a dividend or make a profit? it's a little unprecedented tbhfam
>>62307298It doesn't matter because the next generation will be exit liquidity for you.
Yes some chink made a YouTube video about how people that buy VOO and SPY are like Thanksgiving turkeys that think the farmer brings food everyday until Thanksgiving when he brings a shotgun and I believe him. Sorry too lazy to find the video it was good.
Target funds are even bigger keks. At least if you invest sp500, you aren't investing in a bunch of failing small caps, internationals, and buying all the dogshit 0% interest rate 3rd world bonds all at once every paycheck, and then furthermore telling the whole world when youre going to rebalance every year.
>>62307313>he thinks a run like the boomers had will ever happen againkek
>>62307298No. Where do you think the money goes when a Boomer retires?>Boomer sells stock>Money goes to Boomer's bank account>Boomer uses the money to buy food, pay medical bills, vacation, etc.>Money goes to a corporation>Corporation uses some of that money to buy resources, expand, or buy stock>Corporation uses the rest to pay employees>Employees use that money to spend on goods and services, or invest>The money continuously cycles through the marketsIdk why this needs to constantly be explained to retards. It's like the Millennials and Zoomers bitching about their "evil" parents owning real estate and "hoarding all the wealth". Retard, you're going to inherit the wealth of your parents, and if they choose to blow it all on vacations (which is a meme 99% of Boomers aren't involved in), you didn't earn that wealth anyways. Also, if they have to liquidate all of their assets and do a reverse mortgage just to retire, then obviously they weren't rich in the first place.
Don't think of the S&P 500 as just the 500 largest public companies in the USA. They don't just have the most money, experience, people, tech, property. They also have something far more valuable to control. The US Government. If AI was really threatened by loser authors that sold $2000 worth of books in a lifetime, the multi trillion dollar companies would have the laws changed to protect them.
>>62307298Yes, you're buying into the boomer retirement ponzi.
