Ever since I worked 1 day as a plumber helper back in 2018, I've been trying to day trade for a living. It's been a years since then, and I am currently making $28/hr as a Fire Alarm Technician. I'm still trying to become a full time trader, but my faith in myself is waning. Maybe God really just created me to get bosses around by middle aged white people.
>>
After a long week of taking loss after loss, the one position that would have gotten me positive returns is the only position that I stopped myself out of. God has a funny irony.
>>
I did but then lost it all its just gambling

day trading is a meme you are basically gambling
you have a decent career (although you sure be getting paid more i'm guessing you live nowhere) just stack investments and focus on your life
you can fish for good alpha here if you want to beat the index but don't get taken by memes and don't get too greedy
the first 100k is the hard part

forex trading is even dumber than stocks. youre in a totally random walk
>>
btw youll live much longer without ptsd

nope, I do well trading for a while but I always get liquidated eventually. Exchanges have made so much money from me. I'm pretty convinced that the crypto market is 100% rigged. Would have been awesome if they couldn't use fake volume and see your positions.

Focus on maximizing your earnings with your work, instead of wasting your time trying to outsmart financial professionals who are better than you

I'm not going to give up. I'm going to succeed at this!

Bro it's been 8 years. After 8 years of doing anything, you should be pretty good at it already.

Invested in Nvidia during 2010 while everyone was losing their savings with crypto. Pulled out last year and now they sit in bonds giving me roughly 300k a year to just play videogames. To be fair, I made it even without stocks. They're just a nice bonus.

I have lost 80% of my life savings (if I sell). I dunno if I'll ever get it back though.
>>
>>62321264
Seriously, make as much as possible with your work, put all your savings in some boring index fund or ETF, and find another hobby that won’t cost you too much like video games

You’ll get much better results in the long term, as you don’t seem made for trading
>>
>>62320065
If it were that easy, everyone would be doing it.

Im guessing you dont possess the discipline required to follow basic risk management
I will try trading, and I will SUCCEED. Its going to so eassssyyyyy.

You're going to succeed at gambling? Are you fucking stupid?
>>
>>62320065
Everyone would love to stare at cool financial charts and be rich from basically doing nothing. Everyone would do it if they could.

It's gambling. Even if you do get very lucky and "make it" you will have to keep getting lucky forever to make a living. Always risking your savings on something you have zero actual control over. One bad market crash and your "made it" turns into a giant resume gap.

Investment is good for slowly growing your savings and protecting them from inflation. If you put half your paycheck into the S&P 500 since 2018, you'd have a decent amount now
>>
You don’t even have to worry about the pdt rule anymore trading is so easy
>>
>>62320065
You can't win trading individual stocks. Even if you use a full-on wealth management place, they use a mix of stocks and bonds to buffer against each other. Best option for a normie is invest in big index funds and pump as much as you can into them. Ignore downturns because your investment window is 20+ years.

All the rest of this is just the dumbest people in the world getting bamboozedled because they think they're "smart about tech".
>>

good for you. stop playing their game. take only two or three trades per week

threads full of midwits
it's not hard you just have to learn the TA fundamentals and trade the chart with proper discipline
everyone ITT who said it's gambling is a mouth breathing goyim retard who deserves the jewish daycare wage cage that was assigned to them at birth
not even memeing all you have to do is learn the simple stuff without over-complicating it.
price action, support/resistance levels, and volume... super complicated stuff for /biz/tards indeed

I’ve been successful with futures prop firms since last summer, also successful with my own personal account. I’ve spent about 10k on prop firms since last year and made over 120k, and made over 80k in my personal account since October.
I’ve been trading for 5 years or so and literally only became successful last year after losing my job and just falling back onto trading. Money buys more and more freedom for me as I hit 40 this year. It’s something I enjoy too, don’t give up.
