The problem I run into is that poor people can never be your friend because it makes them fake around you, and rich people literally only care about money, making it impossible to connect with them. All I end up doing is playing videogames, where my opponents are often 10 years old. I feel that it isn't discussed enough what an empty hole it is to actually make it. We have everything, but no one will ever love us, and it has nothing to do with who we are, or anything we've done, it is only because money makes everybody crazy.

A large amount of guys in their 40s and up don't really have friends either. They have work acquintances - so they get some comradery in the shared experience of working.But a large amount of guys, especially after divorce, dont have a social life outside family and work. As a man who gets older, you spend time with people when you have a shared purpose like work or business. If they do have friends it ussually because another couple has kids. So bring a woman into your life and she might bring a social life into your life - which is often centered around kids. Sending them to private school and bragging about the rich people stuff your kids did to other rich parents. Otherwise give 90% of it away, and live the life of a middle class wagie. Or go full monk mode looking for the meaning of life.
Solution to your problem is to make a fake life / persona. Pretend to be an average guy. Buy yourself an average simple apartment and furnish it with basic stuff. Get a regular car and then dont wear anything flashy. Get a hobby and meet normal people and fit in with them. Just go full on stealth wealth. If you are not married yet you can find a woman who likes you and not your money this way. You can still keep your nice house and cars and all the luxury stuff. Just dont show it off to all your new friends.
