>$3-4k isn't enough to live on in burgerland
>wtf VA disability is $3-4K a month, i'd never have to work a day in my life if I got that it's so unfair!
so which is it /biz/? can you or can you not live on $3-4K a month in the US?
>>
you can
if you own your home and it's not a gigantic mansion in vhcol area you can even live off social security
>>
you can remain alive but you cannot truly live

You can definitely live off of that. 30 years of inflation later, you probably won't be able to. And if you're just getting $3k/mo it's going to be hard to invest enough to keep up.

will I still be here in 30 years tho?
>>62342132
are any of us truly living as wagecucks anyway?
>>
To get VA bennies you have to be a zogbot, no thanks.

Of course you can live on $4k a month, mind you VA disability is TAX FREE, so whatever number you are talking about, 3 or 4k is NET income.

You can easily get an apartment for $1k or less in the vast majority of the USA, yeah you're not gonna live in Honolulu, LA or NYC but you could easily afford many decent cities.

If you're willing to spend $1500 a month in rent you can live in almost any city , with very few being unobtainable. $4k a month is plenty to live a good stress free life.

Assume rent is $1500, you live in a good area, you have $2500 left over. Assume bills (electric, internet, cell phone, food) is $750 a month. you now have $1750 left to spend on whatever you want, maybe you lease a brand new car for $300 a month. Now you have $1450 a left a month, plenty for a reasonable life, you can go out to eat, see movies, live a life of leisure.

If you cant make it on $4k net per month you're just dumb as fuck honestly. That shit is a golden ticket.

what about $3300 a month before taxes, passive income and no rent? that's how much a friend I know makes (although he won't tell me what his passive income is from) and he tells me he can't retire like that.

you're supposed to pay off your house after your first deployment and then medically retire
imagine retiring when you dont have a place to live

You can easily get a VA loan on VA disability. They know its guaranteed income so the approval is easy. Would be trivial to buy a nice $200k home somewhere affordable like Columbia, SC. Good infrastructure and mix of affordability.

I own my house and live in TN. The shittest medical insurance with a $15k deductible is $2,000 a month. Food for me and my kids is $1500 a month buying fresh vegetables and meats from Walmart. Buy somehwre else can dbl the price.

Pets get sick? 2 grand bill from vet. Kids need clothes? more money.
car has a proble,... another couple grand.

it just nmever ends. if i own a house and am underwater i cannot imagine the struggle for wagies renting

USA is a big country with a lot of variability of cost of living. i live in the suburbs of philly. my monthly bills are $3.2k all-in (rent, utilities, food, car insurance, phone, etc.) if i wanted to live near blacks and puerto ricans i could lower this to $3k/mo. if i wanted roommates it might be $2.5k/mo. if i lived on rice and beans it might be $2.3k/mo. if i moved to a rural shithole with no jobs it might be $1.7k/mo. you get the idea.

does your state offer medicaid or is it another righttarded shithole that defunded it? you might consider gibsmaxxing.
