Landlording aint easy man. If you live in pretty much any blue state and like half the red states it aint worth it. You will deal with squatters and people who destroy your property on purpose and challenge you in court and a bunch of shit. My cousin had a literal meth head tenant who kept beating him in court and was unevictable despite literally flooding their unit and doing meth fueled DIY projects and just generally being a complete nightmare.
