It's simple, really. Rather than following the route every other successful company before them took, which was to transition into a "value" stock, paying steady dividends and shoring up their near-monopoly where possible, they decided infinite growth forever was a great idea.
This inspired them to move into a highly competitive cloud-compute business where they did ok, a consumer PC business where they did less ok, and an AI business where they sucked so many fat cocks it got embarrassing.

after market not so much, especially today
pre market tomorrow will be interesting. You'll want to be watching at 8:30 EST / 5:30 PST for what the open might start out at, but its going to be super volatile as the algos react etc at open an hour later.
you can get a preview by watching the kospi tonight (opens in like 4 hours), -4%-8% is expected after the us markets and escalation today, possible circuit breaker
protip if you dont trade the open often, you'll want to stay out of the first couple minutes as all the auto-shit settles

I want to put a notice out there

SP500 and Nasdaq100 are arbitrary. The companies in them are mostly the biggest companies

they weren't designed with performance in mind. they were just designed with a philosophy of "lets put the biggest companies in a big list!"

there's no consideraton of diversification, there's no consideration of old massive legacy companies with no growth. basically if some shit is big enough it in get in sp500 even if the company is trash like AT&T. you don't want AT&T in your portfolio. there's no benefit to having in it in, but if you buy SPY, you own AT&T

so why not use an ETF that screens for quality companies? Basically an ETF that takes an index like SP500, screens out all the trash, maybe diversifies as well.or a larger index like Russel 2000. And it builds you a portfolio of high quality, diversified companies

There's factor ETFs that do this. I just think buying SPY or QQQ is stupid. There's too much deadweight in them that put brakes on your gains. They are not indexes designed with performance and diversification in mind.

volume update
and to answer your question: hourly volume was split about evenly between buy and sell
>>
>>62342922
Yeah but if they mine on the moon they can sell it to Fusion companies. If and when they could figure that out it would easily make everything else possible for a meme mars colony.

Mining Helium-3 on The Moon
For fusion, helium‑3 (He-3) is one of the most valuable prizes of early lunar mining because it can be exploited in aneutronic fusion reactors. While it is extremely rare on Earth (found in trace amounts, mainly from nuclear stockpiles), the first few meters of the Moon’s regolith contains a vast, accessible supply of He-3 estimated at over 1 million tons, generated by the Sun and implanted over billions of years by solar winds. Once extracted, He‑3 would be stored as a compressed gas or liquefied in high‑pressure, super‑insulated tanks. Even a few hundred kilograms of He-3 would be valuable cargo compared with its mass; prices today hover at around $20M per kg. From there, the compressed He-3 would be carried back to Earth via specialized reentry vehicles which would deliver it to ground facilities and eventually to fusion machines.

While He-3 exists on the Moon in large amounts, it sits implanted in the lunar soil in parts per billion concentrations. That means mining it needs large, mobile systems that constantly scoop, sift, and process vast areas of surface material while using as little power as possible (think Dune’s harvesters mining for the spice melange).

yeah the fact that we wont land on the moon or go to Mars is irrelevant because there is zero reason to even do it to begin with. there will be no space tourism. there will be no space colony. its never going to be star trek.

you realise that originally, the moon was most likely a gigantic foreign meteorite from another part of the galaxy, that smashed into the earth and attained orbit.

There's every chance of there being unknown minerals and valuable resources beyond just Helium 3. There's plenty of things to criticise SPCX about, please keep it to ones based in reality.

What brand of chicken tendies do you anons invest in? I've always gotten the Tyson tendies (NYSE: TSN), but lately I've been finding that some tendies are tough and rubbery. They're not good. Sometimes they're bad enough that I have to throw them away. It's a financial disaster.

Listen to the dividend anon. Put your cash in a dividend stock and every dividend you receive, invest it in a stock you believe will rise. You will give yourself some practice and it will be with money that feels like free money. Eventually you will learn how to not be a retard.

i have no idea i don't do ETFs. if i were to it would be NANR because i'm afraid of capital controls long term. as for picks though ags are sold so CANE because the whole corn, onions, wheat thing got and probably still is crowded though i saw some positioning has moved off; sugar wasn't a darling for the rotation so i prefer it. lumber is crazy shorted and we just got a good housing print. won't take much for lumber to run; WY & BCC. DVN for oil, leaps are good here imo

I am also concerned about capital controls long term but there’s only so much you can do to prepare and once you do that, it’s best to live life.
>>
>>62343127
>why
because i wanted to make more money to afford a long term treatment
10k wouldnt probably last 6 months

I only have 16oz physical (lol) but all but 5 I bought below $2000/oz. For the rest 2 were $2400, one $2700, one $3400 and one at the $5500 that I’m bagholding. I sold all my paper gold/silver a few month ago.

you can't fuck that up

Thoughts on 80% VT 10% BTC 10% SpaceX for the next decade?
>>
>>62343539
If you're going to chase shit like SpaceX and BTC you're already starting off on the wrong foot

Just do 100% VT.If you really have to have BTC and Spacex then do $1000 hail mary on them lol
>>
>>62343571
>>62343539
Or this.

Take 90% of your money and put it into VT

Leave 10% to play with doing whatever the fuck you want even degen option gambling. But have a rule that you can't play with more than 10%
>>
>>62343601
That's fair enough. 10% max keeps me from fomo-ing in or regret.
What do you think of 401k's? Right now I'm maxed for 24.5k a year, maxed IRA of 7.5k, maxed HSA of 4.4k - all in VT, rest to my brokerage for IBIT/SGOV holding out for the SpaceX IPO (will do 5% for each)
>>
>>62343618
they're great under the present 401k structure, but I wouldn't bet on the US government never looting them.
they can always loot 401ks by doing a tax

They haven't done that so I don't know. You're doing everything right.

Is it a tradtional 401k or Roth 401k? I'd pay taxes on withdrawal, rather than paying them i advance. If you pay taxes in advance, they might loot it anyway
>>
>>62343285
Fuck nigga drop the price more I’m priced out of full oz’s
>>
>>62343643
>>62343618
by the way, it is very tempting for the US government to loot 401ks
it'd literally solve the debt problem if they did it given how many trillions of dollars are n 401k assets

it's a huge amount of money they're not collecting taxes on
>>
>>62343643
traditional 401k. Planning to do a roth conversion ladder to withdraw before 59.5. I'm only 29 now but plan to retire in a decade or less

Any thoughts on MSTR? Might just do that since it's a tiny amount anyway would sell in 2-3 years

>>62343666
cant they just print more money? that solves their problem for quite a while
>>
>>62343672
that it's a po n zi

btc isn't a ponzi? I just wanted the 2x leverage to make it worth it, otherwise might just do 10% SpaceX, what do you think?
>>
>>62343701
BITX and BTCL are 2x leverage bitcoin etfs
NCIQ is another crypto etf that includes more than just bitcoin, it hs like ethereum and a few others as well, and the possibility of more crypto being added

MSTR is a ponzi, not bitcoin
>>
>>62343701
>>62343707
And there's BTC3 for 3x leverage etf
>>
>>62343707
>>62343701
>>62343717
one other thing to keep in mind.
if you use a 3x leverage btc etf
if the price of bitcoin drops to 40k
you lose it all. the etf will blow up at 3x leverage

it's a very real possibility that btc will hit 40k

a 2x leverage etf it would have to drop to 30k for you to lose it all
>>
>>62343707
>>62343717
isn't there daily decay for those? I'd only buy btc below 40k. Would you recommend just buying BTC self custody or IBIT? Tempted to just dca to SpaceX for the 10% 90% VTI and just never sell
>>
>>62343738
yeah there's daily decay should be around 2%

I don't know what IBIT is

It's Blackrock's btc etf, like buying btc but on my Fidelity account without dealing with coinbase or hacks etc
>>
>>62343757
it's up to you. blackrock doesn't steal from their customers
>>
>>62343763
But you'd cap it at 5% max? SpaceX at 5%? Might not even sell, just will hold for a decade
>>
>>62343770
do whatever you want with the 10% bet it on a 0dte call if you want lol
just stick to that rule and you'll never financially ruin yourself
>>
personally for me, I have my 10% in a pet thesis portfolio where I have about 30 different stocks

>every pound taken to space costs over $6000
not true, take your meds
-Costs are not always quoted per pound publicly, so they are derived from launch prices and payload capacities. SpaceX does not publish internal costs
-Per-pound cost: Roughly $1,470–$1,920/lb (or ~$3,245–$4,230/kg), depending on exact payload and recovery profile. (Older quotes often used ~$2,700/kg or ~$1,225/lb at the prior $67M price.)
Rideshare (smallsat) missions (official SpaceX program): $350,000 for the first 50 kg to Sun-synchronous orbit (SSO), plus $7,000/kg for additional mass (also available to other LEO inclinations).
Per-pound cost: ~$3,175/lb for the additional mass ($7,000/kg).
Why are you doing this?

>they don't even paint the rockets/shuttles because the paint literally costs millions of dollars in weight
they dont paint the rockets because no surfacing material survives reentry genius.
>spaceXs last launch was completely fucking empty and still had a malfunction
>we are going to take mining equipment to space and build space mines to dig gold out of the moon and bring it back

are you off your meds? i didn't read your last two schizo-posts, if i had, i wouldn't have even wasted the time debunking your first 2 fuckwit comments. If this is what the anti-spaceX smiggers are behaving like, im even more bullish.
