So the 2018 Farm Bill is expiring and the new farm bill is getting rid off all the hemp derived product flooding the market. Weed prices should be skyrocketing after November when the new laws take effect. The problem is I don't know if this shit is already priced in and I don't know if I trust any of these scammy weed stonks. Still feels like one of those rare easy money opportunities to me. Especially with all the momentum for using psychedelics for PTSD and shit I can see them giving tons of weed to veterans to stop them from anheroing and stuff like this. Seems like zeitgeist is with weed right now. Im not from a legal state though so I wouldn't know how people there feel.

That ultimately means prices always drop until only a few major players remain that can handle the small margins. If those companies establish a monopoly and try to raise prices people just go back to the drug dealers that are literally too stupid to do anything but sell weed.

I’ve grown weed many times, even worked in the industry and everyone makes good points but I’ll offer my thoughts as well.Cannabis is a healing plant but it can be very addictive when used without taking tolerance breaks. Especially difficult to sleep when you stop. The modern cannabis is bred to be high THC but that can be a short high when lacking other cannabinoids and terpenes. Growing your own is the best thing to do if you’re able to. Growing out doors is even better. Sun grown flower can sometimes lack the thc of indoor but it makes up for it with longer lasting effects and huge yields .The short duration high, vapes and extracts are the parts of cannabis that become even more addictive.Respect the plant and you can have a great relationship

Bills expire, like eggs from the grocery storelike a sunset clause, legislation can expire. 2018 farm bill banned hemp with more than .5% or so delta 9 (thc). delta 8 and thca are the two main workarounds to technically be in compliance. delta 8 is weird and should be avoided. they put CBD concentrate in a solvent or something and somehow that turns it into delta 8 and they spray it on cbd flower and sell at gas stations. THCA is "real" weed that is just harvested a bit early to ensure the d9 stays below the farm bill threshold. most thc in normal weed is thca until it is heated/decarboxylated into d9 thc. basically because the thc isn't heated yet it's not d9thc and therefore doesn't violate 2018 farm bill. this is a very generous interpretation of the farm bill, but i have been buying it on normal looking websites for a few years now with no issues
