OP I think they told you what happened.You probably have low charisma, and they want someone with better social skills. A lot of people dont think "we want +20% efficiency from anon in his position at grind-corp". They think "I'm going to see this guy more than my wife so I want someone who is fun to get along with". And also things like don't outshine your boss, or maybe some arrogant vibes where you could cause workplace tension. There is already an existing social atmosphere in the office, and sometimes they're trying to please people socially, rather than finding max productivity. Also there's a good chance a few of your references said "yeah he's a solid worker", and then they asked how you are socially, and theres where it fell throught. works with wahmen and sees them do hiring, and 90% of it is how you fit in with the other woman - to support her friendgroup or power structure, or charming, entertaining, good-looking (but not better looking than her of course!). Work ethic doesnt matter much in a womans interview, and the rest is just an excuse to get rid of someone they dont like
