It can work. Keep in mind if the casino ever decides that you're making too much money they will just 86 you at the drop of a hat.
You basically have 2 paths you can take:

1. Be the most forgettable player ever so they never notice you
2. Be the most friendliest player so they don't mind when you win

the only way to do casino gambling is in a very short burst for large amounts of money
the longer you play the more the house edge works against you
if you play for a very short period (and then don't play again) then the house edge is basically noise, it relies on law of large numbers and you're basically coin flipping over a small sample.

that's what kerry packer did. he was an australian billionaire that went to vegas and played 6 tables of blackjack at the same time, $200k a bet. after 40 minutes he was up $26 million and he left. it was such a huge loss for the casino their stock price dropped from it.

Packer was just a degen gambler albeit a legendary one. You're not wrong about getting in and out quickly though. The problem is variance works both ways and you can lose just as fast. Nowadays I just view it as expensive entertainment - sit down for a couple hours, drink some top shelf on the house, shoot the shit with the other gamblers, meet some new people, have a good time, and who knows, maybe come out on top. Get a little bit back of what I lose in comps and free drinks. You can even use it as a networking opportunity if you're smart about it. Also why I'll only gamble at fancy casinos or high limit rooms, I have no desire at all to deal with the riff raff. If you can't afford $100 a hand you shouldn't be in there in the first place.
