As crypto is dying in relevance, we should start containing discussion in a crypto general thread
>>
I never understood why crypto games never took off
don't gamers usually measure the value of their games by dividing price/hours spent playing the game?
wouldn't it be very intuitive to put a monetary value to an hour of gameplay in the form of a crypto token?

Gamers always hated it. You cant force people who hate a product to use it

It just proves how dead gaming is in general. I don't know of a single person with self-respect that still plays video games in 2026. It's always some loser that calls themselves a gamer.

probably same reason why there is no (I think) online games that use usd cents as their currency instead of virtual "gold"

Back in my day a game cost a quarter and if you died you had to put another quarter in. These days whippersnappers want to pay a flat rate for infinite lives.

I enjoyed some megaman legends recently and I have a lot of self respect. I also play small online games with friends from school times every now and then. last title we picked up is make way.

You probably have much more pressing matters in Mumbai than gaming, I suppose.

true gamers hate your ponzi for inflating prices of graphics cards and PC parts in general

Hear me out, AI+Blockchain. I have no idea how the code would work, but instead of mining bitcoin, your computer is used for the AI ram and computing power and people pay in a special AI coin to have the blockchain AI give them answers which is distributed to the "miners" base

This sounds like hell. Actually, maybe worse than hell.
