The only thing an "ultra sound" money system needs is a completely ironclad settlement layer
Just for example vb already made eth the exact opposite of that by rolling back transaction records because of a badly written contract. OP's point was broken years ago. Btc also had a rollback in its early days, but it was due to a systemic error and needed a patch. That still shakes confidence in btc as a settlement layer, no matter how robust its been since. That's how gold has stayed on top for millennia, because you can't actually counterfeit gold (assuming you have proper analytical methods). Not an ad for gold BTW, we just haven't replaced it yet in terms of the ultimate settlement layer (and no, fiat doesn't count)
