Let's talk investing in education
Is it over if you don't go to uni/college
I'm pushing 40 and I need a job I'm not walking on my knees for the next 40 years as a tradie

How come people say education is a scam yet everyone I know is hired before they graduate
Is it some sort of mutt thing?

Nobody touching you if you don't have le paper

Plus all low tier jobs are going to migrants and women

I'm fucking tired gang

You’re supposed to hire other people to do the hard job at this point
>>

I haven't seen anyone being hired since thinking models were rolled out.

You could get some bullshit loicense in an extremely corrupt industry though, like dentistry. IDK how it works in Muttmerica, but in Europe, it's dug into governments like an Alabama tick. They make laws to require a dentist to majority own every office, for example. Dentists will still bathe in ridiculous wealth when AI elites are pod-torturing everyone else into extinction.

Out of the 4 people I know who retired early, only 1 had higher education. And none of them made it from being wagies, but started their own businesses. Niche shit like importing rims and tires, or medical equipment

9 of 10 people I know who went to prison for stealing copper didn't get a higher education either. There's a difference between choosing not to go to college because you don't need to vs. because you can't.

Not saying you can't make it without having a college degree, but you're competing against people who do. Employers aren't just gonna take your word that you know as much as those that have a degree unless you can demonstrate your skills. Getting certs is also a good option. Depends heavily on what you want to go into.

You are broke and can’t afford a robot to walk for you. And you conveniently think degree can save your day lmao

Choose your number (6-figure-hell) you want to owe to the college

>How come people say education is a scam
If you go to college for the right thing it's not a scam.
And sometimes even if you go to college for the right thing but the economic conditions when you graduate are bad, you'll still be a bottom feeder for a while.
And since all most companies are looking for is a piece of paper, you should try to do it as cheaply as possible unless you can get a full ride to some fancy school somewhere.

What is your current expertise?
Have you looked into management positions in that expertise?
If you’re a tradie, get a project manager certification and you’re more likely to get into management positions even without a degree.

You need a degree to get an H1B. But one can get that in a few days.

the hiring bias in favor of women for white collar jobs is absurd. It gets 10x more absurd if its in tech like wow my last job we hired a bitch who couldnt even turn on a computer and it was in devops
