Out of the 4 people I know who retired early, only 1 had higher education. And none of them made it from being wagies, but started their own businesses. Niche shit like importing rims and tires, or medical equipment

Employers aren't just gonna take your word that you know as much as those that have a degree unless you can demonstrate your skills. Getting certs is also a good option. Depends heavily on what you want to go into.
