I watched a few of the videos about this and the most interesting part of the story is that the parent company was actually much more involved in the crime and coverup than was apparent from the initial Reckless Ben video. their line in that video was that the dispute was solely the responsibility of the individual franchise and they claimed to have no knowledge about any consignment and even claimed that they don’t do consignment. the coffeezilla video that came out yesterday confirmed that the main office was involved in seizing the unsold inventory and moving it out of the store.

With even what has happened thus far, NO prospective shop owner is going to even consider hanging what is now a blatant millstone around their own necks by putting the hated logo on their storefront. This shitstorm and their following PR mishandling has likely cost them on the order of hundreds of millions of dollars. If they 'win' their lawsuit against Bryan and Ben, their PR is going to take another colossal hit from the perception of the large megacorporation bullying and silencing their customers and critics. Their correct play at this point is to publicly apologise, fully denounce Johnson and Best, and immediately settle under favorable terms for their opponents.
