Anyone else here all in VT? I feel like my hair has finally stopped finally stopped falling out
I’m like 80% VTI/VTSAX/whatever Fidelity’s S&P 500 fund is. the rest is in Apple that I bought before I knew about index funds.
>>62357306you know your bonds will go down in value if rates go up?
>>62357428VT is a 100% equity fund that contains no bonds
Nah...the only thin worse than vt is a target fund. You buy al th shitty stocks in the world but at least your passing on 3rd woels bonds i guess. Even schd beats vt
>>62357483I don't think the U.S. will dominate forever. I can't predict the future either, so rather just own the entire haystack instead of waste my time searching for tiny bits of better gains.
>>62357306Yea. I only gamble with chump change and profits go into my boring VT stack. All Hail Jack Bogle
>>62357524yeah, invest in nifty 500 and CSI 300 instead of that piece shit and piss 500.
>>62357524Thats fine, but there are better funds than just buying everything.
>>62357587There's always going to be something better, but the best to me is whatever will keep from tinkering with it, no panic selling, never abandoning it if it underperforms, just set and forget while I live my life with the lowest stress possible.
>>62357306Honestly man, the final whitepill is that if you have a good savings rate, 100% into VT, and actually live your life to the fullest instead of looking at charts, you'll have made it without much stress. I guess you won't find most VT investors in places like /biz/, they're just not looking at the charts.
>>62357735I still find /biz/ interesting and may throw a hail marry at some 100x opportunity to throw back into VT, but haven't seen anything show up since meme season a couple years ago or stuff like Chainlink before that. I'm pretty sure most feel a major gap hence the userbase here is like 10% of what it used to be.
>>62357531We wouldn't have this board without him. Low cost index funds and free trades are because of him. Vanguard drug all the other brokerages kicking and screaming into the reality of no fee trading.RIP Jack John Bogle. His idea was that bogleheads is better than trading without the skill or just leaving your money in a savings account. be happy with better than nothing and skill the part where you pay some shit talker salesman half your profits.
>>62360556Skip instead of skill.EDIT
The more people that buy it, the more exit liquidty for the jews
>>62357306investing in shitty bank in Netherlands for the sake of diversification. just goyim things.
Yeah I have like >75k shares of vt and play league of legends all day. It’s a quiet life. Will I underperform voo? Maybe but I really don’t give a fuck anymore and the higher dividend prevents me from ever selling
>>62357306I tried it once, it just made me more anxious because it felt like throwing money away as it was growing so slow. I just felt inflation creeping up and all the missed gains, it was not a fun time.
>>62362673>Tried it onceyou're supposed to just set and forget. If you max all the tax advantaged accounts you'd be up a ton every year plus the VT gains. Doesn't work if you have a shit job though, min 6 figures.
We need a VT general to rival the gay shitcoins
i have $2.0M in VTI between my 401k rollovers and txable account, and 100 eth. would like to move eth to vti before it pops. hope vti is correct
