>In the UK your direction in life is permanently fixed based on a decision you made at 16 which was influenced by a decision you made at 14
>If you leave the UK there is absolutely no way around this in order to transition to a different field
What a laughably retarded system this country has.
>>
You deserve everything that is happening for leaving the EU
fuck you traitor
>>
>>62358804
living in the UK sounds comfy. just resign to being a retarded peasant slave and everything becomes so much simpler.
>>
>>62358804
dont very educated people make shit wages in UK im talking Lawyers making 20k GBP.
>>
>>62358836
>>62358839
That's why I intend on leaving but I can't very well go into another field when I do leave because I am chained by the idiocy of the UK's educational system
>>
>>62358836
their benefits are bussin no cap u get a counsel flat and pretty damn good gibs man

sounds like NEET heaven ngl

*council
>>
>>62358894
Not much of a heaven when you realise your neighbours are druggies and teenage single mothers with their criminal bf occasionally visiting
>>
>>62358958
compare this to what your life is like as a poor person in the USA. you aren't getting gibs unless you're medically disabled or a woman.
>living in a car and getting harassed by businesses, the police, normies, the homeless, niggers, etc.
>living on the streets and getting robbed and raped by giga schizophrenic homeless on meth
>>
>>62358894
It's hell on fucking Earth. You will get harassed or attacked at random by retarded apes who can't speak English, your dating prospects are drug-addicted whores who can barely spew out a sentence and look like ogres, your friends are guaranteed drug addicts obsessed with football and alcohol to distract themselves from how nightmarish life is here, and because the education system is intentionally designed to stifle people from excelling due to being obtuse and locking you out of certain pathways based on misguided decisions you made at impressionable ages, you are permanently assigned to an underclass where you cannot make it out. And even if you do leave, no foreign college will accept you because the optional, choice-dependent 16-18 exams are weighed the same as the mandatory exams from 13-18 that encompass all essential subjects as a requirement. If you picked the subjects you enjoyed at A-Level, then you're fucked! Enjoy your life of misery
>>
Doomed from birth because UK mind broke you into thinking you have no agency
>>
you genuinely do have no agency in the UK though, you apply anywhere and they dont want you, theres degree inflation, all the low wage jobs are taken by immigrants, all the "high wage jobs" are poverty wages and you cant get those either.

i wanna throw up when i see americans complain about "only" making 40k when thats considered a good salary here.
>>
>>62358804
*Chops off your head*
>>
>>62359565
most americans aren't making $40k
the median income here ignores the vast numbers of unemployed and underemployed.

And even if we pretend the median income is real or representative, almost half of people working full time don't make that much.
>>
>>62358839
a shitty lawyer also make 20K per year in France
80% of the lawyers make 3K euros per month for 60 hours a week
>>
>>62359003
dude A levels dont matter at all, you could do an access course and then do any degree you want, thats not the problem. the problem is that degrees dont matter and its too difficult to do anything and social mobility is dead
>>

It's that way pretty much everywhere. In most cases your life direction is completely determined by your experiences and your interactions with people between the ages of 14 and 18, and that's if you went to public education at a place where you interacted with kids of many family backgrounds.
If you got sent to private education and didn't interact with adults of diverse backgrounds and opinions either, then statistically the varius paths your life could have taken were narrowed down into extremely few by your parents when you were a kid without you noticing.
After 18 everyone starts going into narrower and narrower "echo chambers" (even in college, you will mostly interact with people from your specific major or your school, which is already an extremely limited roster of ideas/opinions compared to before that point) from where you'll have to swim against the flow if you want to change course. It's not impossible and depending on the country and occupation it varies a ton, but generally there's enough additional friction that statistically the vast majority of people end up staying on that path.
It is why at pretty much every college everywhere the average student age is under ~25 even at places with cheap college education where the average citizen is over 40 years old and where life satisfaction studies show that tons of people are not happy with their field of work.
Your brain chemistry evolved to keep you alive, not happy. It would rather have you maintain the status quo than spend a ton of energy turning your life upside down in pursuit of something new and uncertain, even if it could make you happier.

lmao it isn't even that flexible
the uk is practically medieval we might as well have a caste system
i think things were less bad but they have increasingly slid more and more back towards a classist regional system where you are born with your lot and to even try and change that is not only absurd it's outright offensive to everyone
>>62358836
it's shit everything is shit and it's exhausting
i'm so tired of living in a shoebox with archaic appliances
i eat decent produce and live cheaply but I would much rather not live in an open air retirement home
>>
your life outcome is mostly determined by your parents, if you parents are poor and underachieving, then you will just model them and be exactly the same.

my parents are lazy boomers who seemingly lucked into every good thing in their lives (their parents were much richer than them, they both got basically nepojobs and good pensions, now they're about to turn fucking 70 (I was born when my Mum was fucking 44, thanks for all the autism!) and they have somehow managed to fucking waste enough of their money through consumerism that they keep pestering me to get a job which is really easy because you just go online now. Got a degree in computer science last year and now I'm too seemingly too educated for grunt work and lack experience for anything else.

it's almost like the sadism is the point. Give birth to a little homunculus thing and you get to torment it for the rest of your life, and beyond! Fuck them up in funny ways! Make them incapable of living in the real world and then make them do it anyway! Maybe one day I'll have my own children for a bit of revenge.
