Run any career you want thru this website and see, Anon.

I joined the Burger Army after high school and they paid for my supply chain degree thanks to the GI bill. However, I make better money and have a better retirement as a unionized railroader com0ared to a white collar job. I'm also shielded from AI and immigrants at my cirrent job. It all depends on the person.

TLDR: Maybe, but probably not. The days of fake email jobs at an office are over and so is the relevance of a college education.

Just aquire as many hard assets as possible.

Yeah.
People care, banks care and offer you better loans, it is better to do it now than do it later desu.
Undergrad it does not really matter where you go, but if you are an American the biggest cheat code is transferring. Do two years at a community college or state school, then transfer in somewhere. This is especially good if you plan to do grad school because the networking loss is negligible.
If you can afford to go, you should go.

1. ivy league
2. flagship state uni

those are the best yield, very generic advice; defer to >>62360289

I feel for the no uni meme and ate shit in crap jobs for 10 years. Its fine now tho and in weird way im probably better for it, not financially of course but in other ways like character development

Also if your female i would 100% skip and start family, you can always go back to school at 45 but you cant have a kid then

Does the UK even have white collar jobs?

The one caveat to this I'd add is that if you go grad school your undergrad doesn't matter. People from non-flagship state schools end up at Ivy business and law schools. It is more of an uphill battle, but very doable.
I'd also add that college is 100% worth it at the undergraduate level if you have ANY ambition, if you can get in somewhere go. Preferably cheaply.

No, we never look at graduate degrees unless they are doctoral. Literally anyone can get a masters degree from Ivy (excluding MBA)
>>
>>62360638
I meant professional, JD / MBA ... some PhD
Why would you ever get a master's?
>>
>>62360648
>Why would you ever get a master's?
Lotta more niche fields have it as more or less of a minimum requirement because the specific knowledge you need is too specialized to be taught at undegrad and companies are not willing to teach anymore due to how saturated every job market has become. You can do the PhD instead if you are willing to suffer 4-5 years of shit wages, long hours and having to deal with your shithead supervisor with a god complex, but in most cases businesses don't value the PhD experience enough over just the masters for it to be worth it, so it's mostly just people that want to do academia that do PhDs. Also, most reputable PhD programs are very competitive to get into and basically imposible unless you were already doing research work during the undergrad, which at most undergrad degrees isn't easily accesible, if available at all.

Any masters worth a damn is quite competitive nowadays because of the insane amount of Indians that apply to them as a way to emigrate to America. Even on fields where the masters/phd is nearly mandatory to get in, the vast majority of both masters and phd students at notable institutions are indians. When you are an undergrad student at the USA you don't notice but your real competition for graduate degrees aren't your fellow American classmates, it's the millions of indian students grinding probably way harder than you because they are desperate to leave their hellhole.

For a talented person, yes. Average person would be better of breaking their backs at some blue collar job.
