If you're not aware. VGT/IGM are the greatest index ETFs. You get the performance of 3x leveraged SPY without the leverage, and without being concentrated in one sector with a trade that could end.Over 10 years, VGT slightly outperforms 3x SP500 but doesn't show on this chart. If you like investment, you have to love tech... that's what drives most of economic growth. Over the last 20 years, there was only two years where tech wasn't the leading sector.

The best 3x leveraged ETF.I even ask for extra exposure and the traders/brokers are so friendly and more than willing to oblige. One time I asked for more SOXL and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly broker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!"Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me that triple leverage. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere in my trading account. I go in at least 3 times a week for lunch money swings, a large position with milk instead of cream (low vol days), 1-2 times for breakfast scalps on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great trade that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily alpha needs.I even dip my QQQ longs in SOXL leverage — it's delicious! >>62362085why is there so little this week?
>>62362144No. VGT/IGM are not leveraged at allThey're tech ETFsand tech gets better performance than the other sectors, and the performance coincidentally, is about the same as 3x leveraged SP500. Just without any leverage. There's one draw back. It's concentrated entirely in tech, which isn't a huge over concentration problem since there's so many sub industries within tech. It's a bit less volatile than UPRO or other SP500 3x ETFs. There are rare periods when tech under performs. And this last dip was a tech dip. 90% of the time, though, tech is pulling all the indexes higher, often times, by itself lolsome sectors are fucking dead weight. Insurance. Regional banks, real estate, all dead weight trash that put brakes on your gains. There can be arguments that they're beneficial for diversification, but I'd diversify elsewhere.

>>62362213Good choice, anonmaybe consider IGM, though. Same performance as VGT. VGT is missing some big companies like Amazon and Google, because they're not technically in the tech index due to bureaucratic idiosyncrasies. IGM is expanded tech, and includes them, and others. The problem with IGM, though. Slightly higher fee so decide if it is worth it to you.

>>62362229any reasons for pursuing IGM? they both are performing the same but with VGT having wider holdings. not to mention IGM's expense ratio is rather steep for an ETF that barely has an edge over VGT. what exactly is gained by having amzn and goog in the mix if they're performing identically?

>>62362261Just dudes picking stocks that did well. They take a cut of the profits and everything.
>>62362253dismissing anything but mega caps is not predicting the market?VGT is more diversified, and historically there are periods where smalll caps and mid caps outperform. Historically, small and mid caps have had more gains than large caps. You are taking the tech sector, which is already concentrated, and making it even more concentrated with mega caps only. Playing the whole tech sector is already dangerously concentrated, and you're making it even more concentrated by using XLK
>>62362266Sounds pretty Jewish. I'm in.
>>62362267>VGT is more diversifiedBoth VGT and XLK are ~44% AAPL, MSFT, and NVDA. Go and look at the returns on each, I dare you. They are nigh indiscernible from each other.
>>62362066>So how we feeling about the anthropic and openAI IPOs now that Trump can shut off your gains at a moments notice? Is it gonna cause the whole market to dump now?Absolute proof that it's valuable.
>>62362273I meant IGM. Same performance as it as well, and less top heavy, and more diversified.
>>62362261>small penis male orgasm yeah i ain't touching that
>>62362066i am no longer sure about semi's and tech. it basically means the more advanced AI's cannot have their access sold to other businesses or consumers if the restrictions are that heavy that it becomes easier to just fully close it off to anyone but the government. that limits the amount of profitability off any too advanced AI. and already there was that one business limiting use of AI due to cost.
>>62362279>0.56% NOW and 0.82% CRM is going to save your portfolioIGM is actually not horrible, none of the options listed in our discussion are. Your reasoning behind your conviction is flawed though. VGT and XLK are great parts of any portfolio, but I would recommend them over IGM. Definitely sticking to SPMO as the best growth option though.
>>62362066I'm hoping it causes a dip in ASX:SEMI.I accidentally left a stop loss order open on Friday and it closed my position at the end of trading at the lower price for the day.I really don't want to have to buy back in at a higher price on Monday

>>62362299Whichever metrics Invesco uses for its weighing process has produced fantastic results, and despite past performance being no indication of future results, it will likely continue to do so in the future.
To that factor etf investor guy, don't bother with stuff like AVUS, it barely factor tilts at all and isn't really worth the extra fees. Just do VTI + AVUV, much better and you can customize your factor exposure to your risk tolerance by adjusting your AVUV%
>>62362290I'd use PTF or FMTM over SPMO. If momentum changes at the wrong time when it rebalances the portfolio every six months, your gains are fucked for half the year, or you ride down high momentum stocks that went into a ear market for six months. It's better to have high turnover with momentum chasing. PTF rebalacnes quarterly, and FMTM rebalances monthly.
>>62362306JEPI is the same as QQQI but for the Spy (Neos makes QQQI and SPYI, JPM makes JEPQ and JEPI). And SCHD just has such rigid stipulations to inclusion that it basically filters out any company that isn't already long time decent performer who "cares" about shareholders.
>>62362309am i missing something here? VGT simply outperforms it in terms of pure "line go up" metric. from what i've seen so far, the only advantage SPMO has is that its label is "pick the ones with highest momentum" which makes it less reliant on tech on paper... except the stocks with highest momentum are tech stocks so you might as well get VGT at that point and reserve SPMO as a fallback for when tech is dipping.
>>62362311I don't like FMTM personally, but I did not know Invesco had a tech momentum ETF and I'm actually going to check further into PTF, it looks up my alley.

>>62362351In its? Are his pronouns it/its?
>>62362342I just don’t know how much longer or how much more semi’s have in them to grow. Not that they’re gonna crash but how much more room there is for them
>>62362311interesting, thanks for bringing this up. i might twist my initial plan and go VTI+PTF instead.
I definitely prefer the tech sector ETFs over something like DRAM, or SOXL. If there's even a hint that the chip trade is over, if you're holding those, you are absolutely fucked, especially the leveraged ones like SOXL. If semis go into oversupply, there's no getting out either if you haven't blown up, you'd have to cut losses with like an 80% draw down on the unleveraged ones. Recovery could take decades, or never come. On the leveraged ones, you lose like 99.99% of your money if the the actual ETFs don't blow up lol

>>62362102>>62362363there is also news of the US trying to negotiate a more wide-spread access to indonesians airspace, why if not to monitor china? if war were to breakout between the US and china, its asian allies would be the first ones in line to take the beating just like ukraine, that means taiwan(they will suffer as ukraine did), and it seems the EU is about to join the war as ukraine is getting depleted.as for the inhouse pumps>recent news of rumored deals with GOOGLE and NVIDIA, just look at the recent rumored apple deal that turned out to be true>tied to TERAFAB, which is TSLA, which will most likely be tied to STARLINK too>if AI agents are actually going to be a thing, we will need even more chips. yes you can buy AMD, but INTC is literally AMD withall of the above, and buying INTC is bascially buying NVDA too (and starlink?) imagine if INTC started producing AMD chips, kek.>trump *might* force all companies to make a deal with INTC because domestic nationalism or something>bubbleprice target is whenever the market cap hits near TSM market cap, maybe a bit more? but you'll definitely 2x your investment, buy intc.next thing to invest in is rare earths and critical minerals, same thesis. you're gonna need it for all the robotics and war weapons shit ur building

>>62362359PTF is extremely volatile, like a leveraged ETF, even though it's not leveraged. Your portfolio would be making some big swings. It's volatility is probably close to the volatility of 2x leveraged QQQ, and probably get close to 3x QQQ during tech correctionsMomentum stocks make big movements, both up and down. And then you combine it with concentration in one sector, it's a lot of volatility.
>Gets what he asked for>Starts complaining
>>62362369yeah, you weren't kidding. i looked at the graph comparison and the price changes are almost exactly twice that of VGT. if i really go with this route i'll probably have to tone down the PTF portion to like 30% or lower.
is it fine to long tqqq forever?
>>62362369>>62362359And also, another important factor. A lot of times, momentum underperforms. Momentum isn't like tech that outperforms everything else like 90% of the time. In a year, momentum underperforms for about 1/4 of the year. Especially when there are bear markets and frequent dips.

Even though Trump tries to kill AI right now, I believe us AI sisters (like the DRAM, Corea, etc. sisters) will still open green because the Iran headline outmuscles the Claude one. Trump will ultimately TACO, it's what Trump does. He just wants to force Anthros hand.
Was this the bottom of the general stock prices due to IPO's or are we likely to reach lower bottoms once ETF selloffs trigger/more IPO's trigger? I suspect that we've reach the liquidity bottom with SpaceX probably starting to sell off at least a little bit soon and cycling back into sectors it sucked off of.
>>62362505Bro, get this: I'm right now with AI developing a detective game. Like it's not strictly aimed at me, so I picked a lowest common denominator game concept: an animal detective game. And I don't think that rate hikes were all that expected, everyone expected a cut with the new FED chairman, but things started to become uncertain due to oil prices rising and inevitable inflation increases with the general sentiment being that the most likely scenario being rates remaining the same, though every option had some advocates.
