I am SO fucking bored of my zero work WFH job. I still have to sit and do nothing in meetings. I'm a natural autist so other people took my responsibilities and I have around 10% of the responsibility that the person who previously had my job had. I can't actually function in corporations. I can do the work and so on, I just can't dance the social dance that gets people to do things. I work in a huge and slow corporation where everything takes many months longer to achieve than expected. My CV has gained close to nothing for over 2 years.I literally daydream about being unemployed. Around 5 years ago I'd feel smug at being in this position but now that I'm 30-something, I see my career and life as finite and I'm really gaining nothing here apart from savings to spend when I'm much older, uglier, and physically decrepit.

If it’s something adjacent to what you currently do professionally that’s best but you also need a life outside work. Go volunteer at the animal shelter to walk pibbles or something.
