8 years ago,I took my brokerage accounts, and put 90% of my money into VTIand kept contributing to itbut at the same time I put 10% into TQQQ, in its own portfolioI said fuck it, whatever happens, happensNow, over 50% of my networth is in my TQQQ portfolio. I even stopped contributing to it after two years, and just made all my contributions to my standard portfolio and my TQQQ has just grown bigger, and bigger. It's growing out of control. My networth swings massively now.Should I call it quits and trim?
btwwith my TQQQ portfolioI'm scared to even look at it.I get dread even just thinking about looking at it
Im thinking aboit barbelling. I already concluded the only shit i stomach holding forever is shit like schd and dgro because ita not far from covering my expenses and dividends barely get cut when shit dips 50%. Ill just put the other half in SSO anytime there is a crash and figure out a good macro based exit strat.
Why do you guys even bother posting here about investing in ETF's? No one cares about this boring shit.
>>62363646let it ride pussy
Just perfectly time the top and flip the TQQQ to SQQQ
>>62363684exactly. if you primarily invest in mutual funds and etfs, then youve conceded that you have nearly zero knowledge on equities and should just stop posting here. we do not need another post reaffirming voo and chill.
>>62363684Investments aren't supposed to be horse races. They're supposed to be like planting seeds and watching a tree grow. The stock market can help it to become more exciting if it's trading due to growth and success. But calling an investment boring shows you've got more of a gambler or instant gratification attitude and investing isn't that.Apparently no one likes a guaranteed investment, with high returns and zero risk. Even if you had access to an exciting investment that was in fact the excitement you want from your investment you would still turn it down.
