Imagine working for 40 years across the 4 biggest bullruns ever and not even managing to get a penny to your name. Normies deserve it

I hate Elon Musk because he is African.

>I spent the last 37 years of my working life consooming instead of saving my money
>this is why we need socialism
I fucking hate poor people. They're all a bunch of stupid, lazy, greedy faggots.

My father always told me that if you reach your 40s without a property you have done some something wrong with your life.
>>
>>62364132
What if you get a property and your ex takes it away from you?
>>
>>62364142
The secret is to rent out your property and live in another rented place. Crisis avoided.

This. Fucking loser had two REALLY GOOD opportunities to slurp up a cheap house, with dirt cheap interest rates sustained for a decade. He will get zero fucking sympathy from me. Hope he works door dash until he's 90 years old. This is the kind of person who says "why save, you may die tomorrow!"

Nah. I am a "financial mutant" that can live happily on an extremely small amount and I invested/saved like 60% of my income for like 7 years to get plenty to put down on a house. I did the house hacking thing where I have 3 roommates pay my mortgage for me, that way I can put like 80% of my income into retirement now.

I will admit my mom gave me her old car. It's ugly as sin, but super reliable, so there's that I guess. If I grew up in the boomer economy or started saving money before 2008 house crash, I'd be retired at 40 most likely.

if you spent 7 years of blood sweat and tears for a down payment, and then more years of the same working down the debt
how can you not have any sympathy for someone under 40 that doesn't outright own a house?

it's not easy to pay off a mortgage before you're 40.
>>
>>62364275
I try to have sympathy and rationalize "not everyone is as financially responisble as me" but some of these fucking losers still have no excuse.

There's a huge difference between 40 and 52. I would never judge someone who didn't have a house paid off by 40, if it's a 30 year mortgage then theyd have to start paying at 10. Even at 52, I could easily understand not having the mortgage fully paid off, but for a 52 year old to say they aren't even making headway on equity? It's either someone who spent their whole life making bad decissions, or someone so unmotivated they thought they could coast through on life working at mcdonalds.

I don't know many 50 year olds. I'm in my early 30s. Everybody in my generation is either underwater on a mortgage, renting, or their house was paid for by their parents.

I highly recommend trying to budgetmaxx like I did. I guess I'm lucky because I can be happy with very little and most expensive things that people desire I don't care much about.

But if you live this lifestyle for even 6 months, you can save some money to put towards debt, and maybe you'll realize you actually don't need those subscriptions or unlimited cell phone data to be happy.

Most young people should probably get roommates. Most young people nowadays I talk to act like it is their divine right to have their own living space, and having a roommate is third world behavior when it can literally cut your living expenses in half. Just do it for like 5 years to get the home downpayment at least.

If you do all of this, and you still can't make financial headway, then you simply MUST get a better job. I spent like 12 months where I almost had no days off because I spent 5 days a week at school/clinicals and 2 days a week working, but now I have a pretty good paying job. If you have a shit paying job and don't do anything to improve it, you're going to wish you sucked up the 1 difficult year instead of 60 years of never having a break from the minimum wage job

Can't wait for quadrillionaires and zillionaires
