Hello everyone. I hope this is board is active enough to maybe answer my question, and if it doesn't belong here, please delete :)

I have been saving up a lot of money, and I'd like to buy a block of land that is currently for sale near me. It's a great price, decent space, it's in a perfect location near my work, friends and family, etc.
The only problem is that it is zoned "farming zone", and as such, one cannot easily build on it.

So, I'd like to ask any Australians here if they have had experience with such a thing. Is there a "loophole" around building something? Or are there any other solutions?
Thank you :)

Can't you build something like a warehouse and then remodel it into a home?

Perhaps. I will look into it :)
Generally speaking though, to build most structures, they have to assist with farming.

Are you getting regular inspections? If not, you can just do it after the final one. Good luck trying to sell it later though.

The thing is, it is located near two houses, and it isn't uncommon for cars to pass by, so hiding anything might be a problem haha.

Can you park a rv, or mobile home trailer on it? I'm not Aussie, but you don't need to pour a concrete structure for these

Australia is a nanny state you are going to get fucked OP

I believe they are classified as structures.
