What even is there left to invest in?Jobs are a scamWages are stagnant Everything is losing to inflation Prices going up constantly Stocks getting rugged Bubble bursting in a few years at most Sp500 and random etfs just barely keeping up with inflation What do?
>>62380114>Jobs are a scamStop going into tech. Yes, if you unironically have a tech degree in 2026 its actually over. We need nurses. We need blue collar workers. I believe engineering is fine as well.>Wages are stagnantDepends on the company>Everything is losing to inflationNASDAQ is up 35% over the past year>Prices going up constantlyDepends on the item. I do think groceries are growing out of control.>Stocks getting ruggedWhat stocks? Most are holding fairly steady or increasing.>Bubble bursting in a few years at mostYes, and that's a good thing btw. Unless you are in tech in which case its going to get even worse.>Sp500 and random etfs just barely keeping up with inflationUp 25% over the past year btw. That's a lot more than 'keeping up with' inflation.
>>62380114SPCXEither you literally go to the moon, or you die trying
>>62380155Yea that's just one year return tho, stocks and etfs aren't gonna keep getting pumped like that once the bubble bursts. I'm thinking long term like 20 years from now on average how things will beNurses are locked to women only and blue collar is a horrible scam. You'll get paid min wage for decades until some boomer finally decides to call you a journeyman
>>62380186People said the same thing during the dotcom bubble. Since 2000 at the absolute peak of the dotcom bubble, the NASDAQ is up 560% since then. Whereas inflation has only grown 100% since then. Low risk stocks are an amazing investment option especially if you want to live the average REALISTIC dream of retiring at 55. If your goals are to make a bajillion dollars overnight yeah stocks probably aren't the best option.
>>62380186Passive index funds average gains of 8-10% annually
>>62380114You get to invest in my startup. If you have connections, no floor. If you don't, 50k minimum.(You could also invest in yourself and build your own startup, but frankly, I'd make better uses of the funds than you ever would)
>>62380232Yea that's true but even that time was better than what we have now. We have less money and more expenses and taxes than ever before in history. I don't think that scenario of the nasdaq going back up that much is gonna happen again
>>62380114I am going to shill my ETF screener I vibecoded in this thread. The main differentiator is that it allowed you to screen based on the holdings.https://etfs.stano.oneBTW, the farther away you are from the data center (Arizona), the slower the app is. This was unintentional, but I am now calling it intentional thirdie rate limiting.
>>62380155>We need nurses. We need blue collar workers. I believe engineering is fine as well."Just be poor or clean up boomer poop"
>>62380114>>62380186>blue collar is a scam>wages are stagnantDepends. There’s a lot to factor in (trade, location, union, etc). We get $1 raises every year through our union and the benefits are good. Sure it’s never enough, but it beats a lot of stuff out there. No degrees or debt required.Despite that, I'm still thinking about quitting. I got into a good trade but I don’t want to be a wagie for the next 25 years. There’s no fucking way I’m going to last that long
