Also, for pointers if you want to work in crypto, literally just grind hackathons.
By my second hackathon, I was able to showcase great cv and was recruited immediately

I work in fintech currently, as a software eng. I mean I guess, my company is a fintech heavyweight but the stuff I work on is kind of tangential to the core fintech products.

holy fucking ai cringe

How do I get into to crypto as a dev? I've been unemployed for 4 years (3 of those years willingly) and I want to get back to work but the market is fucked where I am
>>
>>62380682
no my job actually produces goods and services that improves people's life

>unemployed for 4 years
basically no chance in hell of getting a job through any traditional means. you will have to backchannel and to be successful at that you'll likely need significant high quality demonstrated project work
>>

What sort of dev work do you do? Crypto is dead asf at the moment, so I don't think there's much hiring. I was working on some trading tools for crypto markets but shelved it since liquidity is dry as a mfer.

Why do people like you not have the spine to name the company?

I am a freelancer in this space. Writing my own bots on Solana for (almost) 3 years already. Its not much, but its honest job.

OP here, i bullshitted my way into the crypto industry just by being involved with shitcoins for a long ass time. started working in blockchain back in 2018 when the industry was tiny so i count as an OG. my CV is just crypto stuff all the way back to then. currently working at a top 10 crypto exchange. but im being headhunted to be COO of one of those fiat-crypto payment wallets a bit like ether.fi

Why on earth would I potentially dox, I'd like to keep my job
