https://www.usdebtclock.org/Are you all just shit coin investors? Did any of you even bother to do the math on this? Literally, the US is going to enter into debt insolvency at about 55 trillion. That will happen pretty fast. What does this have to do with business? Well, the US has lost HALF of it's money's value in the last 25 years. That is going to get exponentially worse. I get it, twenty years ago, people reeeee'd about "meh hyper inflations"... but seriously, the hour glass is losing sand fast. |The public debt will become your problem eventually.

>>62384570if you believe a market correction is tantamount to "the end of the world" then it only goes to show how raped the economy truly is and that you've internalized this fact without even realizing
>>62384703I didn't say anything about a market correction nigger, i'm trying to say people have been calling for the end of the world forever and it never happens. despite doomer niggers screeching the world has gotten better over time for the average person
>>62384734Let's talk math. Given that the US must roll over a third of its near-zero interest debt to market rates this year, and given current trends in Federal spending and revenue, and given current interest rates, the interest on the debt ALONE will exceed all Federal revenue in about ten years. And that is a conservative estimate because it does not take into account waning interest in US treasury paper, the loss of revenue from the current recession, and the fact that interest rates will almost certainly begin climbing rapidly as the deadline approaches. So what then? There is no political will to make the drastic cuts in spending that would be needed to turn the ship around. When the USA starts paying the mortgage with a credit card, the MMT scam is finished. Not the end of the world, but the end of the American empire. That is for sure.
