would rather it not be just a 1/2 oz
and then this
I'm a coin collector first and foremost, stacker by coincidence, but I've been focusing more on silver coins lately. However, I've recently started to feel a bit contradictory buying silver when I have 0 intentions to sell, but I just can't stop collecting. Anybody else in the same boat?
>>62388322Nice coin and thank you for baking;)
>>62388342I love collecting too. I have a small coin collection and various historical tools.
>>62388342Very much so. I consider my coins a collection. Trouble indeed is quite a bit of money goes into it and I frankly also don't really want to sell any of it. You can make peace with this or mentally see part of it as more of a sellable stack. Or maybe say look it's fun to collect now but in years to come might sell it anyway;)
>>62388342Plus you're collecting something that holds its value or becomes worth more. So it's fine. Now you need to not be putting savings/ other funds into your collection as this would be a separate endeavor ie being your own bank. In some ways this makes it easier to kermis the 2 separate so you don't overextend:)
>>62388390>>62388441True. I also don't really worry about premiums or constantly watching spot, I just buy as I find things I like the look of
>>62388458Nice. And cool coin;)
>>62388342The whole point of silver is to hold it for a long period of time
>>62388512The point of silver is that it is a valuable and indispensable commodity that is held outside of the financial system. Probably 90% of the people in the U.S. are going to be royally fucked in the ass if bank credit implodes. Stocks, bonds, bank deposits, insurance and real estate is all going to turn to shit eventually. And there will be no doubt what has value anymore because ownership and possession will make the difference. The courts will not have the capacity to bail you out when you need them the most.
>>62387260They'll be on the edge, along with the serial number.
