What went wrong?
It's easy to curse an asset after seeing the chart. I bet that, during the 2025 bull market, plenty of "analysts" would be predicting $10k ETH.
>>62390923In the early days crypto promised to solve real problems and build positive sum products that people wanted to use. This past cycle demonstrated clearly that wasn't happening and the whole space was a negative sum game filled with pump and dump meme tokens. And I also speculate all the technical people, or "people in it for the tech", who could have built/promoted genuinely useful products pivoted to AI. Who wants to talk about defi when a machine god may be being built.>>62390944I distinctly remember 10-40k eth and 200k+ btc being the meme in the early days of the last cycle.
the chart was amazingthen buterin went to proof of stakethe rest is history
>>62390944correct
>>62391011Ok well why didnt the market choose etc then?
>>62391011CheckedHis whole cult of personality and "aiming sky high while delivering spilled spaghetti all over crypto and the codebase" really did the entire ecosystem a serious disfavorReally is too bad he got conned into caring about fake sustainability instead of making a good product
>>62391288devs chose eth cuz etc was slow and retardedthen they got mogged by solana txn time because no one cares about blockchain blockchain fundamentals if you're just scamming jeets using a settlement layer of treasury backed stables you just want instant near-feeless txns all day every day the lolbert dream is dead with few exceptions (XMR)
>>62391461And sol got mogged by hyperliquid and hype will get mogged by yet another scam chain because the scammers have to keep moving
>>62390923price went down
>>62391011yep having eth remain pow and routing most transactions through a l2 was the optimal play.
