Question to the guy who posts memes of CZ: What does this mean for the rest of this year?
>>62391525what does this mean 3billion has been liq'd or there are currently 3 billion in open longs
>>623915253billion is a lot to cz to sell all user funds :D
>>62391549the latter. it means of all open interest (for bitcoin specifically), $3 billion is leveraged long
>>62391525Idk but the EU is banning scamnance, so expect a lot of bitcoins leaving that exchange. Best case scenario, scamnance is forced to buy back all they coins they sold to liquidate bulls. There’s also the possibility they try to stall for months which would cause even more people to try to withdraw.
>>62391574How can you have more shorts than longs? Someone has to be on the other side of the position
>>62391779Just because someone opens a short doesn't necessitate an equal long being openedAll leverage markets are fraudulent manipulation of price action anyway
>>62391862You're retarded
>>62391937>>62391779a perps contract is not the same as a bid in the orderbook
>>62391525U want pamp? Too bad, here is DAMP!
>>62391779In futures the open interest is matched. However this particular graph shows how many longs are vulnerable if it rises from the CURRENT PRICE. So many more people’s positions are in danger. The leverage matters. Contracts may balance. But if the longs are 10x leveraged and the short 2x. The map will look very “unbalanced” as the longs are far more fragile to movement. Exposure could be the same. But the margin the longs have could be 200k and the shorts 1mil in that case. Theres other complications but thats some basics. There is only about $3B of leveraged long positions that would be liquidated below CURRENT PRICE. Thers a much larger amount of short liquidation “fuel” above CURRENT PRICE.
