Does the pain ever go away? I was in a situation where even I can't understand why it hurts so much years later. I've gone through the usual shit in the past like ghosting and flat out disrespect but this one woman completely destroyed me and considering how much it hurts years later, I know that the pain won't ever go away.

I don't know what her deal was. She was a lot older than me and a "recovering" alcoholic, barely working, unhappy, childless, and running home to her father to live with him for half the year. I want to forget about her and stop hurting. I hardly feel affected by the other psychotic shit that other women have done. Just this one woman disappearing one day and never contacting me ever again and ignoring my request for just one last conversation for the sake of closure completely ruined me and I haven't been able to connect with anyone since then. I don't even get excited if a woman genuinely wants to sleep with me.

The thing is, all this is not rational at all. Stop rationalizing something that is not. There are probably out there, a better girl who could geniunly love you. Or worse women than her that wouldn't even consider you.

I wish that it was this simple but this still doesn't answer it. Logically, I know that she was low value and she wasn't going to give me a family. She was going to give me a miserable life at best. Within one week of our first terrible date, she was oversharing weird shit like how she slept with an ex only twice in 5 years. I definitely felt less than human even before I dated her and it was like her leaving without any explanation, after introducing me to her friends and describing her ideal wedding - it just fucked with me beyond all measure.

I've dated younger, better looking women after her. I tried to mess around with unscrupulous women to see if it would take the pain away. They all ended up being damaged women - alcoholism, addiction, on SSRIs, and so forth. But I thought that them desiring me would take the pain away. It didn't though. Even when they initiated kisses, even when they were eager to jump into bed with me, I felt nothing. I felt completely uninterested in even sleeping with them and I'd end up shutting it down at the last second like an idiot. I stopped dating because I don't want to hurt anyone and I don't know how to fix my brain.

well, to be fair to the thai dudes, most of them are either ladyboys or are subjected to forced military sequestering. so the amount of avalible women there is somewhat larger than the female population.
and for korean dudes, well, their society is in a western-like population failure spiral as well, the only reason their country exists is becuase americans went there and spilled blood on the 34th parallel. there are monuments built to the lost men they keep spotless and well respected more than our own american monuments. i think me and my ilk deserve at least a bit of satisfaction at their expense before they are almost as nonexistant as we become. also their country is not overwhelmed by foriegners or peoples from other nations, esspecially whites so the same sentiment can not be said truthfully from their perspective. in fact, there are clubs where "foriegners not allowed" are posted at the door. i wish we could do that here. when i used to walk the streets of Seoul, the population was 98% korean. for the most part, it was easy to pick a foriegner from the crowd. the same can not be said for new york or chicago or even northern areas you would expect to be mostly white "american" places. if they did feel that way, i understand it. despite all this, a fair amount korean men actually do go abroad to find wives nowadays, as they feel the same way i do about american women as they do their women. korean women are also becoming more westernized.
