What waa your poison? 100x perps? 0dtes? Do tell.
>>
>>62399165
mixture of perps and memecoins
>>
>>62399164
Impressive, but post loss porn or it didn't happen. Easy come, easy go.
>>
>>62399170
It happened across several different CEX's, and hundreds of memecoins trades through DEX's, across lots of a different wallets, none of it was KYC. If you use 1 account / 1 wallet for this stuff you're asking to get vanned in the future / sent a massive tax bill.
>>
>>62399164
I'm rekt pretty bad but not that rekt. Sorry that happened to ya
>>
how is that even possible without doing something retarded like all in leverage on a shitcoin
>>
>>62399183
Perps was mostly bitcoin and alts in the top 20

The rest was from memecoins

But you have to understand, I got from $250k from 2021 to $4m in 2024 from doing this....

Lost it the same way I made it though, and worse

Crazy how you can go on a good run for years and years, but still end up zero'd out from a streak of bad luck, tilting, and overall mental illness
>>
>>62399164
yikes
i started trading in september 2020. horseshit like meme stocks, penny shipping stocks, gme, and bitcoin of course. literally did not even look at my port during the crypto winter. came back, sold at breakeven prices, got into stocks for real companies instead of pure shit and memes. extreme caution kept me from making it, but at least i didnt round trip.
i regret missing out on most of the semi bullrun, i stupidly diversified instead of piling into tech even though i was a believer in AI as early as 2023.
>>
So yeah here I am after almost 9 years in crypto, with nothing to show for it

I have some money in the nomie market which pays me $2.2k per month in dividends, but thats basically what I live on and I cant afford to use that to start up again in crypto.

Kinda fucked up big time.
>>
>>62399198
Not to be a dick but u have a normie low risk trading style which basically means ure working until ure dead, so kinda pointless

I sometimes made 10X what ur current port is in a single day in 2024
>>
>>62399209
why didn't you keep $3 million and gamble with the other million, or something similar and less retarded than you did?

>>
>>62399226

oh yeah forgot I started with 10k in Ethereum February 2017, that was how I got my OG bitcoin stack, beginner's luck
>>
>>62399191
>But you have to understand, I got from $250k from 2021 to $4m in 2024 from doing this....
I don't know if I believe you but that's mostly because it annoys me someone could be so lucky and choose to fuck it up so hard while I'm scalping a few thousand here and there without ever hitting it big.
>>
>>62399242
When you make the money so easily, it feels like it cant possibly end

In 2024 i would routinely buy a memecoin, and wake up the next day or within a few days and be up 50k - 200k
>>
>>62399164
I maxed out at 150k in late 2024. How the fuck do you get to 4mil without cashing out at least half?
>>
>>62399256
because none of it was kyc and cashing out $2M would end up being taxed at a 0 cost basis, so id would automatically be cut in half and $1M is nothing
>>
>>62399263
>$1M is nothing

lel. At minimum that saves you entirely from wageslavery while still letting you have a modest living standard.
>>
>>62399164
i've never had net over 100k in my entire life
>>
>>62399268
I live in an extremely high cost of of living country, state and city.

$1M is piss.

A normie trad home here is $2-3M

A medium-high end is $4-6M

A high end home is like $10M

$1M is piss
>>
>>62399275
I'll gladly sell you a nice warm bucket of piss for $1m if that's what you're after.
>>
>>62399209
>Not to be a dick
no offense taken, i made money you lost money.

>>62399268
this.
1m in SPYI = something like 10k a month
i would be incredibly comfy with that kind of income. i can live on 2k a month, 3k if i really wanted to live it up.
>>
>>62399281
idk what poorcel 3rd world country you live in u bu $1M in my city gets you a shoebox shitty apartment

The homes im talking about that are multi-millions are standard normie family homes that my parents generation basically got for peanuts a 35 years ago
>>

I got in at the start of the bear market, so not nearly as long as you. I was mostly buying memes and round tripping / making bad trades. I made all the newfag mistakes and I learned from it. Unfortunately, I won’t get a 2nd opportunity like what some of you guys had with previous cycles now that crypto is dead. Idgaf anymore about hitting 7 figures. I would be perfectly happy just to even get 1/3 of what I had. Oh well
>>
>>62399302
Yeah that isnt how it works
>>
>>62399303
Odd that you peaked in 2023 and not 2024, but kinda similar

me from 2017 to 2021 was just passive gains from 80k to 250k, the real trading started in bear market as you did, so pretty much the same desu
>>
>>62399191
I can relate though, i went from 70k in 2017 to 30M (very briefly thanks to trumpcoin - aside from that, more like 20M ath) in 2024, and then sabotaged myself down to 6m over the next year by insisting staying in crypto and suffering 10/10 and rage trading the aftermath for several months. I transitioned to ai stocks late but better than never and have since repaired my NW somewhat, but still vastly less than what I effortlessly had last year. It's insane to think how much I'd have right now if I'd just peeled like 10% of my crypto stack off last spring and socked it into literally any AI stock, I'd probably have 50M right now. Like not even MU or SNDK but just anything at all that wasn't crypto.
>>
>>62399198
5 years = 40k????
>>
>>62399313
30m peak nuts

you mean trumpcoin, like the one on ETH that went to $900M in 2024?

trumps "official" coin didnt come out till jan 2025

just clearing that up

again my stuff was not KYC'd, so i would have never made the transition to tradfi with my funds in crypto, but i understand and have heard lots of people talk about moving out of crypto for AI
>>
>>62399291
I'm not sure I follow. You want a shoebox of shit or a bucket of peepee? I can supply either for $1m, or both as a combo deal for $1.5m.
>>
>>62399291
>>62399275
Try living somewhere else then? 99% of america you can buy a nice midshelf home for like 4-500k. Heck I live in an 1800sqft oceanfront property with 70 feet of shorefront on the west coast in an hcol (but not vhcol) town and it only cost me 800k.
>>
>>62399310
The peak was around the end of 2023 / beginning of 2024. AI stuff really took off around that time iirc. I’m just basing this off memory. I don’t have my stuff in from of me. Then my retardation took over and I got greedy trying to chase more of that money. Seeing your portfolio fluctuate thousands of dollars in real time really fucked me up mentally.
>>
>>62399326
No the SOL official TRUMP, though I was also in the eth OG one for a while in 24. I was very luckily sitting on my ass on the friday night that it dropped and all my chats were lighting up about it, and I also conveniently had just raised 500k usdc in my sol wallet to earmark for taxes. So I was able to shove in quickly with size at just about the time it became obvious it was real, like $3-4 ish. So that 500k turned into 10M or so very quickly before mostly evaporating over the next week because like an idiot I didn't sell when melania coin dropped. When I think my about my ATH I mostly just pretend that week never happened tbdesu.
>>
>>62399167
don't worry, you can make it back again.

I don't remember the exact amounts for every year

initial: 30k in 2019
2021: 1.3 mil (peak)
2024: 800k
2025: 800k
2026: 300k

I try not to think about it too much as it upsets me, honestly 1 mil was enough for me to retire, I don't have expensive tastes and I could have just retired back in 2021. Now I'm back in the wage cage and it's depressing as fuck
>>
>>62399164
Boring simplicity is the way. I've been hovering just above and below $2 mil for the past 2 years.

Yeah, and look where you are today. You have 1/3 of what he has. Lol. Why didn't you at least just put 2M into something safe and then gamble with your other 2M you fucking idiot?
>>
>>62399263
Yeah, good call, you don't want to lose all your gains to taxes and be left with just a million. Better to lose all your gains to gambling and be left with 14k.
>>
>>62399173
>none of it was KYC
Based. I got KYCucked so every trade I have is on record.
>>
>>62399275
Fucking retard, you deserve what you got. Nigger, you could have cashed out all your gains and bought yourself a fuckin' 3/3 on 75 acres for $400,000 in most rural parts of the country, and you'd have had $1.6 million left over after taxes to stick in dividend stocks.

Expensive areas aren't worth staying in once you're rich.
>>
>>62399275
So if it's that piss, how come you are here, telling your sad lifestory and bothered by your loss?

I bet $1M would make a difference to you right now.

This just shows you deserve to be poor for the rest of your life until you start valuing money.
>>
>>62399164
You're going to kill yourself.
>>
>>62399191

Everyone's a genius in a bull market.
>>
Should of stopped at 4 million.
>>
>>62399164
Damn, I'm a literal alcoholic gambling retard and even I know to take 2 million off the table to fuel my future diaper shitting days.
>>
I am poor and a wagie, but I will never understand reaching a million and not taking 50% off of the table and put it in something extremely safe and stable to at least be reasonably comfortable for the rest of my life.
>>
>>62401927
That's why you'll never reach a million.

This thread is an amazing glimpse into human psychology. Like many have pointed out in the thread, once you hit mil you can easily take 50% and put it in dividend stocks and corp bonds and live life on easy mode. But some never do they just continue making bigger bets. I guess some just do it for love of the game. Never stop gambling
>>
>>62402166
What's another 50% when you just went up 3000%?
>>
>>62402177
They just the psychological high of seeing your portfolio do multiples. It’s not about any finish line or end number
>>
>>62402131
80%. Sadly my btc bag is bigger than my link bag now....
>>
>>62399167
Why would you throw away your money in scam coins when you were over 7 figures? Fucking retard you deserve it
>>
>>62399164
How do you even sleep at night?
>>
>>62402166
The problem is people don't have any methodology or risk management for their trading. If you start taking big losses, you should be cutting your position size in half until you figure out what's going on. You should never put in more than 25% of your account on a trade. Things like that.
>>
>>62403311
When i get tired, i go to my bed, and sleep, how else?

>>62403303
I made the money buying scam coins you retard
>>
>>62399164

if xer can use the losses as tax credits, then the gains have to be taxed too, giga-tard.
