Nothing lasts forever, eventually gold will be the base money once again or Jesus comes back. I'm guessing the USD has between 3 and 15 years left in it before the whole scheme is up. But I think the average American is still far too retarded and will just keep taking out debt and pumping in to their 401k to ever consider how baldly they're getting raped.

if you actually believe the dollar is going to zero then taking out debt and buying equity or goods is exactly what you should be doing.

there's a reason people get rich doing that. The dollar is designed to lose value so your debts go down as your property goes up.

I remember when silverfags thought that silver would hit $200 when it was above $100 because "There's a silver shortage and so many EV companies need silver".

Ok. What happens when you can’t afford your property taxes and homeowners insurance? Or lose your job to AI this fall? Wife and I are in healthcare, so not worried for us, but things are going to change drastically over the coming months and I wanna see how it shakes out before planting down. I’m sittin on a fat stack of metals, have 180k in hysa but looking to keep the house price ~400k to 500k max. I flip flop but I think I’m just gonna sit for a couple months and continue to check listings daily to keep an eye on things

You faggots told me 500 dollars an ounce EOY. Fuck this I would have made so much more just buying memory

The value of credit will collapse against the value of PMs. Getting a house seems nice in 2026 when the bond market is solvent. Housing will be propped up with luxury premiums as well as the fact that bank credit is even available for a broke citizenry to borrow enough money to buy your house. Without bank credit financing these housing purchases, the value of a house would trend towards the value of the land plus a depreciating hole in the ground with some wood and appliances inside.
In the absence of trust in the banking system, where bank credit loses its value. PMs will actually be gaining ground. Homeowners will be giving their houses away for PMs if there is no solvent banking system willing/able to make loans.
By all means, buy a house if you need one. But make no mistake the relative value you pay today priced in silver will be a losing trade

We're at the end of the credit cycle though. There is no more room to just continuously deficit spend because the government budget is basically half interest. To pay back a single dollar of debt at this point would take a 10% reduction in GDP to halt all of the deficit spending. That may have been possible back in 2008 but it's not anymore. The best you can hope for is a slow bleed as the Fed tries to get you to imbibe more poison before you die. The amount of money we need literally doesn't exist. And to attempt to pay the debts means that you axiomatically, factually have to be relatively impoverished. There is no magical pool of resources sitting on the sidelines. Debts/Credit assets buy resources off of TODAY's economy. Nothing is earmarked for the future so you have to compete with that $46TN of purchasing power sitting on the sidelines.
>>
>>62405557
Short selling is way too dangerous given the institutional players all rely on asset prices inflating. If you're not an insider or a seasoned trader I'd stay the fuck away from dangerous leveraged trading like that.

Yup. There is no way to stop it too. If you try to renege on interest payments to slow it down, you automatically have everyone asking for their money back because the only reason to own debt is the interest. At least on the longer maturities. Where would that money go to to chase yield? It would either blow up an impossible stock bubble and then it would ultimately have to flood into comomdities. There are simply too many "IOUs" floating around that will ultimately need to buy something real. Inflation is basically how they make that even possible. There is no other way around this scenario, which is important to keep it in the back of your mind when the price doesn't do what we think it should be doing. What have the banks and government done to solve the monetary issues? Exactly nothing.

I also mainly use Degussa and I noticed the same.
In general, while you can buy gold in Germany at spot, it's nigh impossible (looking only at gold.de) to find pure silver anywhere near spot. There are always some DM, € and Schilling silver coins (10–15 g each) around or slightly below spot price , but anything else is at least +10 %. It's been like that for months.
>>
Hello anons, tourist from another board here so apologies in advance if I'm asking something stupid.
Anyway, can you give me some advice on what is better, gold and silver coins or bars? Is there any difference besides aesthetics? I'm aware that coins aren't usually 99% pure like bars, but the price per gram of pure gold seems to have the same price when I do all the math. Yes I'm a complete beginner, pls no bully.
>>

>>62406397
Unless the coin has some kind of numismatic value you are purely buying it for the metal content. As long as its pure .999 gold/silver, it doesn't matter if it's melted into a coin or a bar, although some generic designs like buffalos/eagles/maples/etc. you will have a much easier time selling.

Bars and coins are usually 99 or higher unless you’re buying things like old currency
Just buy whatever has the lowest premium(price over spot) which usually means 10oz bars for silver, fractional gold is acceptable

You can't even give 1 ounce to every person on the planet if it randomly crossed their mind one day to buy it. Half of the annual silver supply goes to industry. So there is basically zero supply for PMs to take on the role as a value-placeholder. If credit won't be safe because of dollar-dilution and the supply doesn't exist to accomodate capital inflows from credit. Then a fundamental revaluation of all commodities is the only thing possible. You have to default on all the debts to stop the money from chasing after the real world. And to do that would destroy the financial institutions who service the dollar/credit system which is INTERNATIONAL in scope. The lifeblood of all Western Banks are Treasuries and that asset is a bankrupt, and debt ridden tax base.

Silver will go back to 40$ levels and stay there. It can be pumped ouf of the ground af infinitum. it will absorb inflation but don't expect much more. Gold will probably remain above 3K.

>>

>Nothing will happen

>>
>>62407089
interest on the debt matches or exceeds inflation most of the time
and the debt has grown much faster than inflation since the 80s. do you know what "inflating away the debt" means? it means inflation has to be higher than the interest rate on the debt and the growth rate of the debt. which means inflation rates of at least 8 percent or so, sustained for a long time, and assuming that the treasury market doesnt collapse as a result. its simple arithmetic and you fail at it
>>
>>62407021
Just google it. He offered $56BN - half cash half stock. A hostile takeover is in the works so I need to let my covered calls expire to be ready for the next big pump.
Back in April 2024 the shareprice hit $9.99 and then three weeks later it was $80 in the AM. The day before the option chain was going ballistic and you could make literal hundreds and thousands of dollars by writing calls. And by Friday they slammed the price all the way back down under $35. Months afterwards the IV was so high you could print yourself a paycheck with a few mouse clicks. Absolute insanity. Great source of funds for PMs. It looked like I had $15,000 ITM calls to be assigned so I bought $15,000 of silver. Ended up having to work to pay it off because GME price got crushed down. A year later than same $15,000 of silver did a 4-5x in January 2026.
So this is all you really need to retire early. Silver and Systemically naked short sold meme stocks that bleed money right into your pocket.

ok so what you do is pretend you don't have any gold and silver. Ask for a payment plan for your procedure. Then when it's done you can make payments or not depending on how much money you have.

Probably one of the worst financial decisions I ever made was selling stuff to pay medical debt. I ended up not paying and declaring bankruptcy anyways. And if I had known that was going to happen I never would have sold anything or paid a single dime.

You need to take some of your stuff and treat it like it doesn't exist. Non-negotiable you're not going to sell it for any bill ever. Otherwise you just go through life losing everything over and over for no real reason.

Its still trending with gold, not as much down but exactly the same direction. Silver got the worst of both monetary and manufacturing concerns from the market all of which ignore the continued production deficit of silver. I'd buy more if you can find it. At some point the clown market will rebalance, continual downward pressure on prices ensures shortage occurs that much faster. Regardless I expect gold and silver to go down with the market until they don't. Gold will remain volatile so long as we are at war, equities are bith volatile and leveraged and prices continue to increase. Everyone that can afford it is buying gold, every country that can't is selling gold to buy wheat, rice and oil. Thus you can expect a new floor somewhere around when starvation and substate violence begins. This will effect treasuries as well as equities, all will be sold for commodities. Silver and gold will still be oz and lbs when its over, but companies do not have such luxuries nor do governments. Every lifeboat seems shitty when its time to abandon ship, thats why you get you mind right before hand.

Sure did, emotionally like little girls.
The good news about currency debasement is that it doubles in losing purchasing power as the doubling doubles in frequency.
Some would compare it to contractions during birth, others to the death throws of suffocating.
So I did call it "good news", didn't I? Most here know why, because it allows one to prepare for the birth/death however one chooses to perceive it.
Good if you are aware of hierarchical order, Bad if you're resistant to facts.
Oh they'll be moar opertunities to stack, but the best time is now, consistently and regularly as the opertunities prevail. Because as the contractions/throws sharpen and expedite, this process continues, and time waits for none.
Already got myself the cigar picked out for the birthday/funeral.

What's wrong with buying silver at $120?
Some coins were only available to me at that price... I did start buying in 2005...
Calling this a bubble is a yard take...
>>62408492
That's what they are asking for some of the commemorative Canadian coins right now at this price...

Getting there. I can't wait to buy low again. Don't hate. No fud because it's just a chart. :) Your discount silver is around the corner. Probably gold eventually as well.

>Death to all youtubers in minecraft.
>>
>>62408823
you get less silver than you could have and now your SHTF stash is smaller and you missed out on life experiences you could have had.
this is like the /biz/ classic "once I'm rich from investing my life can start" except worse because you won't be living as well as you are right now you will just not starve to death but will probably be robbed if you don't have a huge family compound filled with weapons and surrounded by walls
dropping 50% this fast is pretty bubble popping to be me especially with how it keeps falling
we might see silver hit $40 this year and when I buy I will be ahead of everyone else who just kept buying like normal.
I don't want the price to go up I want cheapies forever, I'd rather die and have my kids take my stack than having them kidnapped or killed for it
>>
The bubble burst,,,,,,you lost 70% so far,,,,,funny thing is you learned nothing,,,,,that will come over the next 20 years as silver drifts lower,,,,,you will sell under $20,,,,,i will buy in 2052 for $8 for the next bull run,,,,,thanks baggies
>>
>>62408964
the way you post looks like a boomers style of texting I don't think you'll be alive in 2056 and silver will definitely not be $8 or under $20 as inflation alone will keep the price high and in 26 years it will either be socialized for tech and illegal to own or completely useless as some new composite material makes it unnecessary
Of course everyone here is not planning to sell ever unless they are expecting to do a quick flip

Silver doesn't track inflation moron its an industrial and idiot metal
>>
I hate how it feels like gold and silver has intrinsic value but it's overvalued because everything is overvalued and people pouring money into it to hide from the AI bubble. If everything is overvalued, then nothing is? I dont understand economics

Clownomics
Noun
Clown·nom·ics
/ˈklaʊnˈnämiks,ˌˈklaʊnˈnämiks/

the branch of knowledge un-concerned with the production, consumption, and only concerned with transfer of wealth through instruments.
the condition of a region or group as it regards immaterial prosperity. Or the “belief” of intangible prosperity without tangibility to substantiate it.

Clownomics is an anti-social science concerned with the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services only through the manipulation of perception of value. It studies how individuals, businesses, governments, and nations make choices about how to allocate resources through the lens of intangible mediums and instruments of manipulation of markets through fiat currencies to devalue and manipulate markets for profit.

Clownomics is the science which studies human behaviour as a relationship between ends and scarce means and how it may be manipulated through the lense of fiat currencies to provide power and profit to a select few at the cost of the many.”

“The process of valuation resulting in the devolution of humanities perception through programing the psyche of individuals through constant bombardment of lies and blatantly untrue and leveraged data.''

“The end result of backward thinking of what is valuable not having intrinsic value and the resulting clown world economy that must constantly and consistently consume to sustain the misperception.”

Examples of application to achieve Clownomics include:

Constant and consistent propaganda pushed upon the masses to value things that have no intrinsic store of financial energy and to only account things that do have stores of intrinsic tangible value through the lense things that have no intrinsic store of financial energy.

Timing the entry is everything. Buy only when price is in multi year lows with low volatility and hope for a bull run.
>>
For anyone buying this dip, what are you leaning towards, gold or silver? Or platinum (lol). GSR currently favors silver, though those who were once priced out of gold is now within reach.
