So dividends is ultimately just an illusion of passive income, it just requires the company to sell to fund the payments of the holders. It is just selling in disguise, may as well have no dividend and just have your asset appreciate in value more and sell when you feel like it
>>
>>62426588
/our guy/
>>
>>62427403
the imagined value prop relies on bitcoin pumping forever while the dollar depreciates
>>
>>62426807
how do you refinance a loan to buy btc? this isnt a mortgage anon
>>
>>62426935

He's a lying bastard. He's selling BTC to save the STRC (Stretch) Ponzi. Its been collapsing. The idea (scam) they sell stretch boomers on, if you see the ads. Is that its like a money market fund, only with 11% dividend! Except it collapsed 25% in a month.

And what's the point in 11% per year dividends if your principle is falling 25% per month! Its classic Ponzi stuff. In fact if you read the prospectus, unlike the ads they state its a high risk asset and you may loose your entire original stake.

So people were lawyering up rightly. Because the ads were clear mis-selling to dopey greedy boomers. I'm amazed SEC hasn't done anything already. This is the real reason he's selling. To stop the bleeding in the Ponzi.
>>
>>62427491

One more thing. Remember all STRC is DEBT. Used to buy Bitcoin in the hope it will have a real rate of return above ELEVEN FUCKING PERCENT.
>>
>>62426376
Didn't he buy (higher) a couple of weeks ago.
Fuck it may be time to buy
>>
this guy could not imagine that a bear market was coming?
>>
>>62427491
>I'm amazed SEC hasn't done anything already
yeah, you can pull whatever 3card monte you like with BTC and no-one will bat an eyelid. Start bundling this shit into SEC jurisdiction boomer bait tho and its gonna fuck you good, sooner or later.
>>
>>62426376
>Strategy will now swing trade instead of just buying the top

BUY BUY BUY
>>
>>62427107

No. He announced a program. MSTR is sitting on 2.2B

The correct way to understand this is, because MSTR is a public company from time to time the executive must make material statements about the disposition of assets and profess to a predisposition to pay stakeholders in it's business, no matter what, as is the case in bankruptcy. If the public commentary suggests imminent bankruptcy, then the company is customarily, in the NORMAL course of business, expected to clarify the ACTUAL company's position as such time, through the marketing department.
>>
>>62428139
Whales bought hard to counter.
>>
>>62428139
because no one gives a shit about things that will never happen
>>
>>62427403
Well if you actually have a real company with cashflow the dividends come from there. A good company with solid dividends can still be undervalued as far as its share price due simply to the proclivities of the market.

MSTR is literally a pyramid scheme, it has no way of generating net cash other than getting bigger fools to buy in at higher prices.
>>
>>62426376
capitulation

It's an instrument. When risk capital decides the premium is worth it, they'll repeg the derivative.

The fact is, capital is being sucked out all fixed income categories. Plenty of companies are offering double digit dividends, while capital is investing in CAGR instead.

You have to understand, I conceptualize the market like a toilet bowl. You only want to buy something that floats, because everything else drowns. For me, it's preferred A shares and bitcoin. STRC and derivatives holders won't see a dime if bankruptcy happens. Price is not Ponzi, it's risk premium. Get your head out of your ass.

The company could, in the event of adverse market conditions, simply reduce or stop paying dividends altogether. Cheap A shares of MSTR will fall into the hands of strong holders. Pegs will repeg. Bitcoin will go up. dividends will resume. Michael will refinance. And then take out another huge loan. And then resume buying bitcoin.

The flywheel of wealth is like a carousel, you just need to time when to get on, but it doesn't guarantee you won't bang your knee on something climbing on. You have to look for an opening.

For me the magic price is $69 as always, but $96 should send it to $108
>>
>>62426807

The whole point of the STRC is he can’t refinance. And can’t issue more shares. He’s having to pay 11% dividend because no bank will touch it.
>>
>>62427427

Yes. His debts are in dollars. Dollar strengthening buttcoin weakening. If that keeps up. The selling has to accelerate. This plan doesn’t even cover them for a year. And the selling could accelerate in buttcoin terms if the direction doesn’t reverse.
