Is chatgpt good for analysing and reconciling your crypto transactions?

Most accountants are leeches are charge above £500. In fact one quoted £1000 per tax year reconciliation + submission.

I'm using Chatgpt now to help fill in the forms and it seems quite thorough. Its also said it can reconcile each transaction from my Koinly account.
Any experiences using this?

On another note, what's your experience with HMRC and crypto taxes? Are they pushy or suspicious and harass you?

Hmm I haven’t tried it but it sounds like a good idea if it doesn’t fuck it up. Probably better to give it smaller prices of data per prompt and then add it all together at the end.

yes chatgpt answers all my tax related questions.

Why don’t you give it a shot and let us know how it goes

Those accountants only charging you $500 are probably losing money on you. They don't have some special system dude, they're probably just sorting your transactions in excel.

And why are you using Chatgpt when you already have Koinly? Chatgpt would be more for general tax questions you have but Koinly is exactly what's needed for the reconciliation.

What do you not understand exactly? You pay tax on the net gain. Gain = sales proceeds less your cost basis less transaction fees, all of these in your home country's currency. Koinly does all of this for like $100.

Sounds like a bad idea. If it hallucinates and fucks something up the IRS will come rape much more out of you than the money you saved on accountants

The 2 work quite well together, especially for a novice. Chatgpt just tells you what and where to look for and it does the analysis. It's more of a reassuring thing if you spot any exclamation marks on Koinly.

Anyone had experience with HMRC and crypto taxes?

If you've cashed out you'll eventually get caught.
