As in, you're so irresponsible you can't handle credit cards, and pay for everything with cash like a drug dealer?
Ive had conversations with people about not closing the mortgage and was told that they'd rather pay it off and save cash. Some people genuinely don't understand that a 3% line of credit against a appreciating asset worth hundreds of thousands of dollars is one of the greatest things to have. I've been told by actual adults that they'd rather start saving cash than borrow against the house to buy bonds.
