I've been interested in investing in emerging markets (mostly China) for a while now. Looking at all the different and popular ETFs regarding EMs, I see the same curve, or more fitting, line! It doesnt matter what holdings are in the ETF and how they are percentually weighted, be it more financial & industrials than tech, more South America than South East Asia, they all still stay on their base line and never, never rise at all.
The only outlier has been summer 2025 and the AI hype. Compare this to their entire existence, since inception, and you'll realize that they have been flat since 2012.

>Whats the fucking point than?
>Do you guys know any better EM ETFs than the ones I have listed? Please post them.

According to my data, EM's have a CAGR of 11% over 126 years, and 7.5% over the last 9 years. It seems like just reversion to the mean since it has performed very strongly in the last 50 years, like 13-14% over that period.

Another one to consider is AVES, but it is only 3 years old.

Things can change.
I like chinese banks, China Telecom and China Mobile. Also taiwanese ETFs are great.
I don“t care for South America or Africa.
