How often do you eat out?

It seems 90% of restaurants have roughly the same menu and serve the same junk from Cisco/Aramark/USFoods, with a total coin-flip of whether or not you get decent service. Sometimes service is outright bad.
>Decent food with nice presentation and atmosphere:
$50 min
>Crap food with no presentation and nothing special atmosphere
$30
>Delicious food at home or friend's house
Less than $10 a plate.

restaurants are shit and overpriced and also fuck tipping, which is why nobody is eating at restaurants any more
>>
a lot because i work away from home a lot
but i still bank most of my tax free per diem so its fine

>Cisco
Sysco. If you're gonna see then at least seethe at the right company.

You lucky lucky bastard. I had that deal once and I saved a year's pay off it. I only had to submit a receipt if the total was above $25, so every day I "went to McD's for breakfast" (I did not go to McD's for breakfast) and claimed the correct amount for a couple of McMuffins and a large soda (plus tax ofc), or "went out to eat for dinner at $18.99 buffets" a lot (I did not go to buffets), and so on and so on. Picking up an extra five grand a year, tax-free, plus getting my apartment rent paid for (because I dropped my apartment back home and "moved back in with my mom") really adds up. Basically my only expense was gasoline for my car.

Yeah, I just don't go to those. I go to a local bar owned by an individual who personally runs the place, which has a weekly AYCE fish fry, and I get that. Or I go to Wendy's, or another local fast-food place with about a dozen locations, or a local fried chicken chain (Brown's, but I go to the only one that hasn't been taken over by poojeets nowadays, and holy fuck was that hard to find), or else I go to Costco for their pizza.

Lately I've also hit Taco Hell because they were supposed to have chili-cheese burritos back but my local one "doesn't participate" in that, so I'm not gonna bother any more either, and Giordano's because I wanted to see if they'd improved since the takeover and they're decent again. I haven't gone back to Malnati's in a while because they too got bought out by PE and aren't nearly as good as they used to be.

I do go to Texas Roadhouse about once a month because I take my stepmother to lunch there. She's old and she likes it, so ok.

And I quit going to Chili's because of the literal nigger-tier service. I'm pretty sure the last time I went, the nigger fucked with my food, which is why I asked myself why I was bothering to go there any more and quit.

Also, fuck Hiroshimoot for adding the five-letter acronym for "if you know you know" to the antispam filter.

Maybe once a month. Why would I? My mom cooks great.
>>
>>62435834
Like once every 3 - 4 months.

I am traveling to Southeast Florida this year though, for a week, so probably will be eating out a lot.

I eat out ur mum every night faggot

Chilis, like all franchises, is highly location dependent. The one near my house is truly exceptional, good food and great service. Best bang for ur buck
>>
>>62435834
Never I don't trust the people who work at these places anymore, I'll make it at home or I will just not eat I'm fine with that.
>>
>>62436004
ya its not bad at all
my per diem is a flat rate and i get a car and gas card
miss home though

5/6 times a month, but I like food
It's very much a "where do you live" question imo. There are some really fantastic restaurants in my area in both the high and low ends that I go to on the reg, but I live near a T1 shitty. And there are still plenty of Sysco frozen meal reheaters anyways. Unless you have a knack for these things, it can be hard to tell them apart without eating there. I always stick to these rules when looking for somewhere new to eat
>busy during brunch/lunch/dinner hours on weekdays
>has either plenty of upper-middle class boomers or normal blue collars eating there
>no niggers
>either no ethnics or the right kinds of ethnics in the kitchen
And of course
>does looking at the menu make your mouth water?
>>

Sitting down at a physical restaurant? Probably twice a month on average.
Getting takeout? Much more often, although its mostly deli subs that I eat one half of now and the other half for a second meal.
>>
I purposely order the cheapest and junkiest food, because they are so shit that I don’t think the cook can make the junkiest food even more junkier. But the cook does always shitting up expensive meals.

I work in a kitchen, dining out is a complete ripoff. We take pre-made slop and warm it up and sell it to you at 300% mark-up plus tip for a useless middleman to bring it to you. If you saw the conditions of kitchens and the quality of employee they have, you'd never go out to eat either. Dining out should only be for big special occasions at real scratch made restaurants, if you eat fast food, or get generic bar food, you're wasting your money.
>>

I don’t eat out too often. The major fast food chains are total slop. I might buy a burger or something if I’m desperate, but most of the time it’s just a bunch of shit smashed together. A fucking chalupa by itself is like $7. Fuck that.

The quality of the big chain sit down restaurants have went to shit as well. Olive Garden used to be good stuff back then, now it’s completely different. There’s no way they are using the same ingredients or methods for making their food. Pizza joints fell off too. I think Pizza Hut tried to do some type of “classic” comeback and from what I hear, it’s seemingly good but it doesn’t seem to be gaining any traction. The best places to eat out are the small joints owned by 3rd worlders, unironically. Caribbean, Irish, middle eastern, etc. all make good food and they give you big portions
>>
>>62435834
I eat out a lot but I make sure to not spend more then 20-25 dollars. 30 dollars is a splurge for me.
>>

Ignored...

>We take pre-made slop and warm it up and sell it to you at 300% mark-up
How true is this meme really? is it just a fast casual chain like applebees, olive garden etc. thing?
I don’t eat out much and when I do it tends to be at places where the kitchen is on display. I don’t watch it that closely but people in there are clearly cutting stuff and cooking stuff on real stoves.
even if I went to some slop slinger, you can’t just “warm up premade slop” and pass it off as cooked there. a burger can’t be microwaved without it being obvious. at worst I can picture frozen patties grilled and kept warm, on premade buns with reheated fries, but the meal can’t be done whole cloth.

In the summer? Once every weekend. During the other 3 seasons probably once a month.

also, costco food court is a bargain

$2 for a large slice of pizza, $0.69 for a drink

pick up a rotisserie chicken for $5 while you're there
>>

>sit down restaurants
once a week minimum.
My gf makes us do "date nite" and its not a date unless im paying some 3rd world wagie for dinner I guess.

There are 2 dive bars near me that serve cheap food and drink. They are owned and operated by white people. These are the last places I actually enjoy going to. $20 for a few beers and food.
I've noticed Dive bars are usually all white people...owner and workers and customers... Does the pseudo-filthy environment repel the browns??
>>
>>62435834
Agreed, it's mostly slop and when you're getting well beyond slop you're paying a really significant premium.

Steaks are kinda crazy, because 90% of them are pulled off less well than you can do at home with a cast iron pan and a decent burner but you pay basically $100 markup. More than that if you're looking at a5 wagyu from Costco vs a restaurant.
>>
>>62439310
Basically all fast food is made that way, a ton of smaller places are like that too. It's a shot in the dark but even high class restaurants will be doing shit like that especially if they aren't doing well. It's a huge scam overall honestly that anon is right

>>62435834
Everyday. Work for a start up and they buy us lunch everyday, $30 limit. Unlimited snacks and drinks. I'm fit so I don't utilize the full potential but I bring home a lot of food.
