I shilled MSFT for the last two weeks and fuded chips for the last two weeks and today I actually bought a little bit of QCOM because I think its oversold. Its probably too early but QCOM was beclowned even before SOXL/DRAM were beclowned so its getting dumped on at the bottom of a dump

I was feeling kinda euphoric about how hard chips were getting raped/how much I've made off the MSFT play so I inversed myself on this play to get some chip exposure.

Shit could totally go to 150 though but I can sleep easy knowing I'm gambling with house money I already won and knowing there are people that bought that shit at 255 less than a month ago

"chips crashing" doesn't make sense as a narrative. You can't have 18 p/e micron sharting and dying while this piece of jewish garbage is 141 p/e and that's after being down 50%
>that one fag screaming "IT'S DOWN SO YOU SHOULD BUY THE DIP, SOFTWARE WILL GO UP BECAUSE IT'S DOWN"
There's no fundamentals there
Niggas in this thread are literally allergic to basic fundamentals like "it makes money" and prefer to buy "200 p/e, it might make money in 20 years" stocks.

There's no information left to glean from this thread. Either micron goes to 3000 a share by 2028, or the entire market will just crash.

Oh! Mark said they would rent out excess compute, so the entire AI investment bubble died. Mind you, it won't fix consumer prices. We just can't benefit anymore. One would think that, if they intended to enter the hyperscaler market, that they'd eventually have to buy more hardware. Meta dumping a bit is the same investors getting confused.

HEY, I OWN AND LIKE PLTR!

But yeah. The recent Meta news seem like a pretty good reason to dump and combined with wider market selloff, it should be pretty rough on chips and chips have dropped to about, what, couple weeks lows? If it continues, while rest of the market soars, then I'd be more concerned, but the bottom line is that chip makers are making insane amounts of revenue and it's not likely to stop anytime soon. I get the cyclical nature and 3 chip companies being in top 10 market cap companies don't seem sustainable, but for now the numbers do bear that out. That's the whole idea of AI bubble being overblown as the valuations in most of these companies actually aren't overblown.
>>
Does the market close earlier today?
>>
A-at least DNN is up 2% today.
>>
>>62439933
Nothing justifying the semi pump in the past year has fundamentally changed. AI companies don't really have to profit or be deregulated. What matters is just that they keep buying chips and building datacenters, which they are. SOXL is highly cyclical. This happens every month. Just a bunch of whiny nigger baggies ITT. Just my two cents.

Based on comprehensive academic studies and brokerage data, only about 1% to 4% of day traders successfully make a living from trading.

While general industry statistics often state that 10% to 15% of day traders are "profitable" over short timeframes, there is a substantial difference between making occasional net gains and earning enough consistent income to sustain a livelihood.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. THE SUCCESS BREAKDOWN
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* THE "MAKING A LIVING" GROUP (~1% TO 4%)
- Long-Term Consistency: Multi-year tracking shows that only about 1% to 1.6% of day traders maintain consistent profitability over a five-year horizon.
- The Living Wage Hurdle: A landmark academic study titled "Day Trading for a Living" (tracking institutional and retail data over a long horizon) found that only 1.1% of day traders earned more than a basic minimum wage, and a mere 0.5% earned more than the starting salary of a bank teller.

I do spy 0dtes constantly. I'm extremely impatient but I've also lost and made a lot of money through my time. Fundamentally you're stressed out because you haven't made it all and lost it all, you're gambling with either money you don't have or money you aren't willing to lose.

Think of it this way, if you aren't ready to lose everything in your account in one day and not kill yourself, you aren't made for it.
>>
>>62440059
* THE "MAKING SOME MONEY" GROUP (~10% TO 15%)
- These traders finish in the green over a specific quarter or year, but their earnings are typically marginal.
- They often underperform relative to passive index fund investing (e.g., holding the S&P 500), meaning they make less profit for a vastly higher amount of risk and time invested.

* THE REMAINING MAJORITY (~85% TO 95%)
- The Bleed Out: Around 80% to 90% of day traders lose money and quit within their first two years.
- The 90/90/90 Rule: A common industry adage validated by brokerage statistics states that 90% of retail day traders will lose 90% of their funding within 90 days.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. KEY REASONS FOR THE LOW SUCCESS RATE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* PSYCHOLOGICAL HARDBYTES
Human psychology is naturally counter-intuitive to effective trading. Retail traders frequently fall victim to behavioral biases, such as holding onto losing trades too long out of hope (loss aversion) while cutting winning trades too early out of fear.

* TRANSACTION COSTS AND SLIPPAGE
Commissions, software fees, interest costs on margin, short-term capital gains taxes, and "slippage" (the difference between the expected price of a trade and the actual price executed) act as a continuous structural drain on trading capital.

* ASYMMETRICAL COMPETITION
Retail traders are directly competing against multi-billion-dollar institutional algorithms, high-frequency trading (HFT) systems, and quantitative funds that possess superior capital, faster infrastructure, and advanced data processing capabilities.
