Post country and how much PTO you get
>aus
>5 weeks holiday 2 weeks sick
>>
US
"Flexible" but I took seven weeks last year
>>
>>62443952

If you’re white collar professional is the USA really a nightmare for employees like everyone says ? Or it’s over exaggerated?
>>
>>62443958
Depends on the company I guess. I've always imagined that your average retard that complains about a lack of PTO works fast food, retail, or something equally menial
>>
>mex
>~20 days + holidays
>>
>burger
>3.5 weeks
>>
>>62443950
>US
>32 days
All PTO is lumped into one pool: sick days, holidays, vacation, same shit.
>>
>>62444080

That’s great! I’d much rather have combined PTO than the Aus system where sick leave is seperate, since I never use it all. What do you do for work?
>>
>>62444094
Structural engineer. Only people who have been with the company for ten years+ get that much PTO.

Us government

>~2 weeks sick paid
>~2 weeks annual leave paid
>Every federal holiday off
>3 months paid paternity leave (expires a year after birth)
>1 year "family leave" unpaid
>>
America

I don't go to work I just sell shit online and gamble on lines
>>
>>62443950
12 sick, 15 PTO, then we get 9 federal holidays, Christmas eve and my birthday off. Then on a de facto basis via declarations we normally get black friday and half days on the day before Thanksgiving and Christmas eve. So 38-40 days off a year.

>US state public employee

US
28 days ATO (PTO and sick leave)
it doesn't matter though, i'm paid strictly on productivity.
>>
>>62443950
Canada
3 weeks PTO :(
11 days sick
2 family leave days
>>
>>62443950
NZ
>2 weeks PTO.
>2 weeks Sick.
>4 weeks domestic abuse leave.
Bit awkward ringing the boss and telling him I can't come in because I'm beating his daughter, but such is life.

USA.
Unlimited PTO
Unlimited sick time
You'll get fired for being cheeky with it, but having a woman dedicated to tracking your vacation/holiday time and whether or not your sick is extremely low-trust society tier behavior. Spiritually canadian.
>>
>>62443950
I get 2 weeks in canada
last year I forgot to use them
>>
France
7 weeks paid leave
>>
>>62443950
>US
>2.5 weeks vacation
>1 week "personal business"
>4 weeks sick
>>
>>62443950
USA
>2 weeks sick
>4 weeks vac
>>
>>62444155

Canada seems like a worse version of Australia no offence lol
>>
>>62444271
Nz is 4 weeks annual leave right?
>>
>>62444329

Don’t companies give unlimited PTO because the research has shown it causes employees to take less time off, not more? Since most want to Err on the side of caution.

Also how does it work if you leave the company? Here we get paid out our leave (not sick tho) in cash when we quit.
