Is it true that we can cure the affordability crisis and inflation if we all just buy stonks?>OK, final thought. Um, record high in the stock market. You may know that. Oil prices coming down. That was easily predictable. And they’ll continue to drop. We hope they go below $70 a barrel.>Now, the American oil companies will take their sweet time because they want to make as much money as possible, from us, dropping at the pump, but it’ll happen. But the most important thing is that, about 40% of Americans have no stocks, no mutual funds, no IRA, nothing.>Okay. 58% according to Gallup have stocks. This is how you grow your money in a capitalist society. Now if you don’t have any stocks, what deduce do you think is going to happen to you when you get older? What do you think that the government is going to provide a comfortable living for you? Is that what you think?>You’ll get Social Security, but that eeks by. You want to live in a trailer?>Stock market is the way to amass capital. And I’m not a speculator. I just tell my guys, I have a financial advisor and you know, you have to have one by the S&P, the Standard & Poors. That means that by and just hold it. My portfolio is doing great because Trump, his policies, appeal to the big companies, but 40% of Americans don’t participate in capitalism and a lot of them are yowling about high prices?Come on. You get 4% inflation here. Live in the real world. So you younger people, you got to get into the stock market. Don’t take big risks. Go with the conservative stuff. Final thought.
Its an income problem. People arent even buying fastfood as much anymore.
>>62459782The guy you're quoting is a nepobaby coke addict.

>>62459793I am surprised restaurants aren't mega dumping. They're getting hit with people having less income/income not going as far and GLP-1s becoming more and more accessible.
>>62459866Theyre all buying Sysco slop and frozen shit to cut costs.
>>62459866Have you looked at the stocks moron
>>62459782The cure to the affordability crisis is mass production of physical goods and services. I've already gone over this, but I have zero power and nobody gives a shit anyways. You can't tax your way out of this. You can't loan/print your way out of this. You can't "muh labor unions & eat the rich" your way out of this. And you can't "Luigi" your way out of this. You also can't regulate your way out of this. Regulations are a major cause for all of this in the first place. They make it nearly impossible to build power plants or utility stations, they make it nearly impossible to build housing anywhere, they make it nearly impossible to experiment with new drugs, they make it nearly impossible to build new cars and they give "free" money to 18 year old tards that don't understand budgeting, while letting university administrators (95% Democrat) hike tuition fees to infinity. This is why everyone is either creating software apps on phones, crypto, or other tech related shit, because it's one of the least regulated industries. You need mass production, which means:- Eliminate 90% of current regulations in every industry.- Eliminate all required hiring practices and have complete freedom of association.- Eliminate 90% of taxes/tariffs and allow both corporations and consumers to decide where their money flows. The only things we should be funding are military, courts and direct consumer subsidies to those with actually physical and mental health handicaps, not the scams we have today.- Serious crackdown on activist judges and radically harsher penalties for criminals.- Privatize Social Security and turn it into a forced private savings program, like a 401k, that's only accessible at age 65+. People should control their retirement, not the government.
>>62459782>>62459926- Privatize Medicare & Medicaid and turn them effectively into forced HSA accounts. Allow consumers to choose any policy, from any company, at any time. End subsidies to corporations and force them to compete for their customers. Anybody that is truly impoverished and cannot fund an HSA should get a direct subsidy from the government into their account. This way they still get to choose their insurance plan and the insurance providers still need to compete for their business.- Deport all illegal aliens.

>>62459926>>62459931>Everyone and everything just needs less regulation and more privatizationHow, in your mind, does that solve anything? How would privatizing social security make it better?>you need mass productionOf what? What can we make that isn't already meeting the demand for it?"Just make shit"? What? Tables? Hula hoops?
>>62460107Put what I posted into Chat-GPT and tell it to steelman my argument. Ask it more questions if you're interested. AI does a fairly good job steelmanning arguments if you specifically tell it to.>you need mass production>Of what? What can we make that isn't already meeting the demand for it?Housing, healthcare, energy, vehicles, literally everything people online complain about on a daily basis.
>the way you earn money isn't by providing a useful service or labor its by purchasing pieces of paper that arbitrarily rise in value because a board lied to retards about what they actually doHow do people think this shit is actually stable or even good? How retarded do you have to be to reach the conclusion that having more money to start and letting it sit somewhere and doing nothing yourself is actually the healthiest output for society? If your primary way to raise your status in society is to just throw money at the pre-existing largest companies then you've just damned all future generations into haves and have-nots off the misfortune of their birth which inherently destabilizes shit if the underclass ever gets uppity
>>62459782>Now if you don’t have any stocks, what deduce do you think is going to happen to you when you get older? >>62460813*yawn* I'm probably your age and I'm not getting recruited into your fag mob. Nobody is.
>>62459782Yeah, it's true. The reason this mess exists in the first place is because of the 2008 financial crisis mind fucking an entire generation. They got spooked and bought all the housing, traumatized by the stock market. Housing mooned and now everything is a mess. The funny thing is, if you bought stocks in 2009, the gains would have been much more than you'd ever get buying real estate at the time. Just as it historically always does.
